Thank you! As far as pet distractions, we keep Jay and Daisy in a large crate in our room while I’m teaching upstairs because they tend to bark at everything! 😊

Hi Catherine! Thank you for sharing these insights! Would you ever consider being an organization and bringing on more teachers? This would be a great way to keep income rolling in, even if you decide to stop teaching altogether. Also, have you thought about licensing out your curriculum?

I’ve thought about becoming an organization but I’m such a control freak about how my classes are taught that it would take a lot of effort into hiring/training teachers that I just haven’t seriously looked into it yet. It’s a great idea though and I most likely will at some point! Thank you for reminding me! 😊

Yes, Amazon KDP profit has surpassed my Etsy POD store. I also love the creative process for Amazon KDP more than Etsy at the moment. With Etsy, I had to do a lot of customer service so it's super nice that Amazon handles all of that and your books can be listed forever after posting one time. Thanks for watching! 😊

Catherine,how are you? I’ve been teaching on another platform for about 5 months but it’s not promising. Can someone actually reach this type of success or even half of the success you reached with Outschool now? My focus would be esl for kids. Hi! I'm not entirely confident that if I started with Outschool today that I would have the same type of success either but I definitely think it's possible! I think creating a class with high searched keywords is essential. If you look at the Outschool insights on "classes in demand", that is the information I would use to create my classes now. For example, I noticed today that the words "1st grade" and "first grade" were both in demand right now so making sure you have both of those keywords in your class title and one-sentence summary is really important. @@catherinewestbrooks Thanks! I haven’t fully explored the platform since I haven’t technically applied. They require a video and also a background check, which I’d like to do more research on being that I don’t know who will have my information. I’m hearing Outschool is not so great now by other videos from my research, so I asked you. Covid attributed to the increase in online learning in 2020, so I’m not sure how to feel. Also, people are saying it’s not that busy now. Decisions and you’re welcome. Enjoy your new chapter!

When you first started teaching on the Out School platform, how long did it take for you to start earning consistent income and getting students to enroll? Did you have to advertise or anything? 2. Is the market oversaturated on Out School? I'd like to do it, but don't want to struggle in getting students to enroll or make a decent income. I'm definitely open to suggestions ? Thanks so much. 😊

I enjoyed watching this video. I also teach in Outschool and have for 3 years. I teach a Circle Time class M-F for 45 min. I was curious how your income is so high. What’s your class size? Definitely want to work smarter not harder, so any advise appreciated!

Hi Kathy! Thanks for watching! I used to teach more classes per day and now I’m down to only six. My income with Outschool definitely won’t be as high for 2023 but that’s why I’m focusing more on passive income! 😊

I also just got accepted to Outschool's new referral program OUTreach where you can get paid to refer, even if you don't teach. It will be cash and not Outschool credit now. One more stream of income...every bit helps! :)
