Outside AC Won't Turn off in House? -How to Replace Stuck AC Contactor FIX

Dear James. Can the contactor be stuck closed even if unplug thermostat ? I leave the AC working fine turns on and off but randomly the AC does not switch off and room temp goes very low. I only turn off AC switch and wait for few minutes and when i turn power on again the AC works again fine but repeats the issue

Yes, that can definitely happen if the contactor is defective. If you unplug (or shut off) your thermostat, and your outside AC unit is still running, that is a sign that your contactor is stuck closed.
