YaY. and maybe a little tip from hobbyist to hobbyist, with narrow pieces of wood, it helps to pre-drill a hole for the screw. so that the wood doesn't tear. but I'm sure you know that and it's just because you only have one drill. and all the switching back and forth can be annoying. 🤣 anyway. hey dave, instead of painting them a solid colour i think varnishing the shelves and keeping that wood in there would get you a beautiful contrast with the olive wall and black enclosure bases! keep it up

Love the room! Can't wait to see all your glass enclosures back. Your shelving was the inspiration for mine. I've only got 30 Ts. But I installed flexwatt on the back walls behind all the enclosures controlled by a pulse thermostat. I have my lights wired with a ramp timer so they come on and off slowly to resemble sun raise and sun set. Another idea, of course it is your room, but the board I used to put on the front of my shelving to hide the lights, I made them 1/4" higher than the shelf. That way I can't bump into the shelving and knock any enclosures off. It holds the enclosures on the shelf. Good luck I can't wait to see it finished.

The higher lip helps. Plus, if you still have those rectangular "catch tubes" that a viewer sent you a while back, it looks like one of those could fit under there, too. Cap one end of the tube, place it, and then let the critter run for its life straight into the tube. Sorted!

I would put some metal peg board on the right side on the wall to hang stuff and you can get shelf brackets also for it … that way it’s able to be set up and changed as you need

Hey Dave! Great video! I guess I can see how some people misunderstood and thought you were throwing the towel in. I didn’t think that though. Enjoyed the video although there seems to be no sound for the fast forward portion of the video? Normally you have commentary for these parts, so it’s weird to me. I’m really looking forward to the website. I guess part of the reason I haven’t gotten myself any merch is because I’ve always been skeptical about buying through social media. I think the bench should have been either made at least a foot longer or the shelves moved back a couple of feet. By the time you put tanks on the shelves the view of the bench area will be partly blocked. Blocked by more than is visually appealing. Rather than rebuilding the shelf you could build a small closet against the wall the thickness of the shelves. Then you would also have small amount of storage as well. Or build a small incubator against the wall that will push the bench out a little. Just an opinion I still love your videos.

I am OCD and there is a gap in the left front, or the back right side depending on how you look at it. Can you close that? lol It's looking good. If the escapee goes over the lip and down in that gap that will be a disaster lol

And this year and last year was the wrose years my mom lost her friend last year then lost her younger brother this year in 2024 but passed away on December 1, 2024 around 8:00 A.m in the morning on sunday and I miss my uncle so much he was a good guy but died by a weak heart and couldn't walk. But at lese he's with my grandmother and my mom's ex boyfriend. Lost so many people in my life like in 2020 2021 and 2023 and 2024. But they will always be remembered and loved and always be in my heart and my family's heart.

We have a very well insulated 10ft × 8 ft. utility shed on our caravan site, and regardless of how well its insulated, its always freezing cold inside- despite being double skinned, with copious amounts of Wall insulation. It's not drafty.. Just forever cold, and would cost a fortune in electricity ot have it even at room temperature. We put an electric towel rail on all night, that gets red hot.. but only to touch, and makes very little actual difference to the room temperature. So what's the secret in getting it warm- especially at Winter time please?

You will still need to run a heater but once it reaches temp it will just need topping up 👍
