"Outside In" Sound Art Installation Mark Cosgrave

A sound art installation environment, which incorporates audio and visual elements. Max / Msp is used to control and sync several BlinkM LED lights to an audio composition.
These BlinkM LEDs are contained in small white boxes which are then situated within a large wooden box coated in mirrors.
Inside the wooden box, there are also two rear speakers, two front speakers, and a sub-woofer outside on top of the box.
The idea is that you then place your head into the box from beneath, and hopefully enjoy the experience!
N/B The audio is slightly out of sync with the lights in this video, due to latency delay in the recording equipment. The audio is more accurately synced in reality, especially to the beating effect that the sine tones are creating.

I saw this in teh Camden Palace. Looks better on camera than it did in person. I think it's because the camera has only one eye. also because my head got in the way of the pretty colours. I bet you're really psycked about the new tron movie.

Hey there! The lights being used are pretty cool, they are called BlinkMs. RGB LED lights, and there are ten of them, housed in 10 white laminated paper cubes. Many thanks!
