When you deliberately play outside the key, do pick the worst notes (structured solo) or do you move the scale you’re playing up half step or lower (playing few notes outside key). Then back into the scale in KEY? In key, outlining the chords musically. In key, (and out of key) moving the scale half step (up) or half step (down) back into key. Inside, outside mostly inside

I agree that the ear has to get used to the sound and this does not come overnight. Once you trained your ears and got a taste for it, it comes naturally
