I feel like thats a theme in the entire campaign: Too many missions have too many phases, and you are never really sure what to expect. But often its a good thing. Sometimes not.

@@OutsiderXE Well, few moments in campaign lack sort of babyproofing Like here, I guess they could stick in few spots on the frozen lake where stuck ships could be placed when phase transitions so you could smash them open and grab resources back

You guys did a marvellous job. I hope you do all the Warcraft Campaigns (the rest of WC2 as well as WC1 - maybe even WC3 - and beyond). You are more Blizzard than Blizzard is - for the last twenty years. Great respect for all the dedication and voice acting. This is better than most games - and it's only a fan project.

@@xetanth87Hah. Everyone Thinks that. But that would block units from getting inside the transport ships. No, they actually added upgrades that replace every ground unit-type with an amphibious type when the water freezes.

Actually he was killed at Stratholme shortly after Lordearon fell.The 'Grand Crusader Dathrohan' leading the Scarlet Crusade was the Deadlord Balnazzar in disguise.

@@Pokerface-tr1dsyes he was. Him, Uther, Tirion, Turalyon & Gavinrad. Uther & Gavinrad both die to Arthas when he is going to get the body of Kel’thuzad. Siobhan does in Strstholme off screen and his body is possessed by Balnazzar. Tirion is killed in Legion. Turalyon is still kicking though.

This mission remind me of the Battle of Empel, when the river frozen allowing the spanish army attack the dutch ships. Sadly, in this case, the miracle worked against the people that received it.

WC3 Reforged made the basic forest trolls (and thus ice and shadow too) much skinnier, which makes their berserker versions closer to the basic wc3 forest troll sadly.

After WC2 and before WC3: - Maim dies to Dark Iron Dwarves? - Gorefiend comits suicide after the killing of his fellow old gen death knights. Some later became liches?

Maim is killed I believe around the time of Warcraft 3 by Dark Irons. As far as Gorefiend I believe he is still alive come the time of BC but it’s been so long I could be completely wrong.

Gorefiend's body was destroyed by Turalyon during the Invasion of Draenor at the Black Temple while Ner'zhul was enacting his ritual, but his spirit survived and went into hiding until he was accidentally reconstituted during BC by Horde/Alliance players. As for Maim, we don't know what happened to him other than that he presumably died fighting the Dark Iron at some point between the Invasion of Draenor and World of Warcraft. We don't know what happened to Utok or Tharbek either, only that they were respectively last seen at the Siege of Lordaeron and the Battle of Blackrock Spire. It's highly likely that they're dead, though.
