Looks like a good idea. Howie looks like he had a rough day.

That is very nice Chuck. I bet the coolant will be ten times cleaner.

Thanks Chuck. I am just ordering my filter now. It’ll get installed when I re-bearing my pump in about a month. Awesome idea that I’m happy to copy. Hi Howie. 🐶

I think anything that will filter the coolant will be of benefit . My one has a weird conveyor type filtration system made by Philips Electrical . 👍

Hi Chuck, The smallest I used was 10 micron and it would plug up fast and over flow. It was about twice as big in size as yours. 25 micron seems to give me good filtration and good life. I thought about putting a bigger 10 micron with a smaller sized 25 micron on the inside to see how that would work. The 25 micron would catch the bigger particles before reaching the outer layer 10 micron and hopefully keep the 10 micron from loading up so fast. Steve

Steve...thanks for viewing and providing information on the filtering....it will be interesting to see how quickly this filter clogs, but I don't do that much grinding....will let you know..best, C

Nice set up Chuck. Good Job. Here's a modification/idea.....why not use a Melita cone shaped coffee filter as your filter media, micron size is 15-20 microns and Ill bet they are way more inexpensive and available about anywhere. They would be quick and easy to change in a cone shaped basket, sorta set up like a drip coffee maker over the pot, which in your case would be the fancy jar you have. It would be worth at least a try !! Don

I added a coffee filter prior to the bag filter, a viewer's suggestion, testing now, but think it is a good idea as the 5 micron is maybe too fine

Very nice. What are you going to do about oil filtering? Or does a grinder not have much oil?
@outsidescrewball2 жыл бұрын
Larry...don't think oil will be an issue as parts are clean
