I remember meeting Stein while coaching at Heavenly Valley ski resort. What a wonderful man! We talked for a while and he couldn’t have been more friendly. He took a photo with me and it’s one I will cherish forever. Love you Stein

Met him in Park City quite a few years ago when he was walking by he heard Norwegian being spoken He wanted to say hello and apologize for interrupting us, hahaha He was so polite and down to earth We talked with him for around 10 minutes of course all in Norwegian

I remember "ski with Stein", a 30 minute TV program. And he did it on wooden skis and leather, lace boots.

Der Vergleich hinkt. Bei dem Material von Stein Eriksen war der Kraftschluss Fuss Ski kaum vorhanden..Deshalb konnte Eriksen den Schi nicht so auf der Kante halten..Ausserdem durch die geringe Tailierung des Schi musste Eriksen dem Schi die Richtung vorgeben . Heute gibt der Schi durch die starke Tailierung den Schwungradius vor. Also Stein Eriksen war mit dem damaligen Material und Saltos ein Star..Wo sind eure Saltos...ihr steht zwar sehr gut auf dem Schi aber Eriksen seit ihr nicht.

Seems like there's very little footage of Eriksen skiing with more modern equipment, in the 70's and 80's.
