My wife grandfather was born in a trapper's cabin in Terrebonne parish and trapped and fished for a living all of his life, my wife and I lived next door to them when we were first married, and we ate some very good dishes that were things most people turn away from. Choupique was one of my favorites either fried or the patty's another was gar fish in Boulette's or patty's. Love the videos Jarred and the south Louisiana flavor by the way a palanc not sure of the spelling is a trout line we used to put out 2 to 3 hundred yards of them baited with salted pig ears when I was akid with my great grandfather for crabs to sell. good cajun memories.

Excellent video!!! I think Trey will do well posting a KZbin channel. I learn so much from OTL...especially "new" or " different" ways to handle, prep and cook your afloat harvests. OTL is now my favorite channel of over 50 outdoor channels I follow.

Great video.. I am from here and grew up not far from Chackbay , I was always told the mustard helps to flavor it because some have a mud taste. The mustard takes that taste away. I haven't been fishing in years now and miss it. We use to use cane poles instead of rod and reels and it was more fun for me. I tried the rod and reels but the poles were more fun..
