Love watching fishing that's not pushing products and rigs. Amazing how often you catch in a wild lake Tom. I don't catch nearly as many fish in my local stocked lake which is also quite small. I've fished a many times on my local river for carp and never caught one.

Those "night creatures" seem to congregate around the lights at the boat ramps, drinking beer, talking loudly, acting stupid, and you have to deal with them just like the mosquitoes, gnats, biting flies and other pests. I can certainly empathize with you. That twenty pounder was a beauty. Thanks for sharing your videos, thanks for going to all of the trouble to make and process them.

I've no idea why KZbin recommended me this since I don't watch anything fishing related and don't fish myself, but I found this to be a fun watch. Thanks for the video!

The shortest rods I use for carp are 8’ rods; I generally use 11-12’ rods in larger waters, the 8’ in smaller ponds.

ill only use 12' rods with 3lb tc

Awesome footage tom. That was a really nice 20 lber. I figured you be getting into them. When I'm struggling your usually doing good. I agree with you on certain lakes holding bigger fish. and also different sections of large lakes holding bigger fish. I thought you looked alot smoother fighting these fish on the mono. My votes for monofilament

Still waiting for my 20 lber nice fish Tom. Guess I just need to find one of those Big Fish Only Lakes, that's the reason I don't fish pass sundown the creepy crawlers come out. But do go out around 4 in the morning and try that early bite, creepy crawlers are back in bed by then. Thanks for the video.
@OutsidewithTom Жыл бұрын
Yeah, gotta avoid those creepy crawlers.

Many feed stores also sell 50lb bags; steamed rolled oats is what you want. Prices vary, but still cheaper per pound than quaker or store brand oats in smaller volumes.
@OutsidewithTom Жыл бұрын
@@brian1204 For some reason all the feed stores near me only have whole oats.
