I love Shadow of the Colossus so much that I went ahead and bought the soundtrack and listen to it on the way to school. I gotta say, it’s such a beautiful and haunting soundtrack and really makes you feel small. You’re doing something right when even your music feels colossal. Can’t wait for the remaster, just a few more days!!!

Shadow of the Colossus was the first truly cinematic game in my opinion. The graphics were GOOD, but what really sealed it was full camera control during cutscenes....I remember going nuts trying to create the best cinematography for every single creature and just generally experiencing it as a piece of movie art as well as a piece of game art. Nowadays, everyone and their mom wants to be the next cinematic mastergame, but SotC was special for being the first one that made me WANT to experience it that way.

I’m not afraid to admit that I’ve bought 2012’s XCOM on Xbox, IPad, and finally PC. Xbox was the entry point where I was like where the game hooked me. Then I played it on iPad and loved the touch controls but wasn’t too keen o the graphics. Then I took that baby home on the PC where apparently it belongs and never looked back. For reference, though, the Xbox and iPad controls were great, but I was just getting into PC gaming and XCOM was one of my first games.
