In the first Evil Within game, one of the DLC campaigns is called the assignment where you play as Kidman. Whenever she stops to save her game, a black cat with a red ribbon appears that Kidman can pet and stroke. This same cat appears in Sebastian's safehouse in the second game.

Cait Sith = Cat Shee. I'm glad Luke called out how weird that cut scene was. My wife was watching me play this game and it was generally fairly grounded, but then there's this horrifying moment where the worst case scenario happens and ultimate destruction is breaking out and it's tremendously affecting and then they show a sad anime cat and she was like "what the fuck? Why is there a cartoon cat? Why aren't they explaining that? You can't do that!" She had a hard time taking the game seriously after that because she was expecting Mickey Mouse to show up at any time.

Yeah it was a weird choice. I mean I absolutely get why they did it(they wanted to throw in as much fan service as they could. I'm surprised they didn't cut to Vincent in his coffin at one point), but like...it didn't need to be done. I mean, having played the original and knowing WHO Cait Sith is, you could rationalize it by "Oh, Reeve obviously had access to the tech to control Cait Sith and it has been shown thay he cares about Midgar and is against dropping the plate so it would make sense that he'd need to see it for himself" but when you're at the point of doing THAT much hard rationalization just to make a scene make sense, you're probably better off just cutting it.

My personal fave video game cat is Ser Pounce-a-Lot, Anders' cat from Dragon Age. He's an orange tabby kitten you find in the garden during the Awakening DLC and Anders keeps him in his backpack while going on adventures. He has an ability to revive downed party members, will meow in conversation with Anders, apparently throws paws with darkspawn, and his Heroes of Dragon Age art has him wearing a little coat with pouches that looks like Anders' DA2 coat. I adore that cat so much. He's so good.

So this is basically like, the polar opposite of the spider videos, so you have to do another one to balance it out :D. Tried to think of other cats and currently the only ones I can come up with are the ones from Minecraft (when wild they are ocelots but if you tame them with fish they will turn into a cat that is randomly either ginger, grey, or black-and-white). Still pretty cute, though. And they'll deliberately go and sit on beds, or on chests (preventing you from opening them) :D.

Of the ones that were mentioned here even though Litten didn't get a proper ranking, I would chose him as the best. I first saw him in the anime the day of the funeral of a friend of mine who had been my teacher in high school and was very special to me. The way the Stoutland was trying to care for it reminded me of how Dean had helped through my senior year of high school. So I felt like Litten in that episode and even bought a little stuffed one because of it.
