That was amazing. What an effort put in to make it as far as they did!

Back in 1980 - ‘85 I lived in this area (Lower North Shore); loved the winter - and the people - so I almost settled there, but didn’t. In 2009 I rode the TLH on a motorcycle, thought that was adventurous enough! Thinking of doing it again this year, 2019. One thing this documentary doesn’t sufficiently reveal is the massive impact climate change has had on this area. Not only has the weather shifted, so too has migratory patterns and all that comes bundled with warmer (IE: disrupted) climate. Another thing to mention: Albeit it’s a one-way road, the experience from Blanc Sablon to Old Fort Bay is sublime; if at all possible, don’t miss it. Thanks for the video - well done!

Great film, and brilliant ending. Did this trip in 2015 on motorcycles, and was envious of the two cyclists we passed along the way.

We did it in 2016 as part of a 9200 km roadtrip. Loved it. A friend of mine also did it the same year by bicycle, fully self supported, carrying all his own gear. Part of a 12,000 km bike tour he did that year. I'm thinking of doing it myself now as part of a roughly 10,000 km solo self supported ride.

Pretty cool. Anyone know what month of the year they did this? Those narrow gravel roads are pretty deadly with logging and mining trucks ripping by; surprised they didn’t capture any of that.

Fantastic doc! As a resident of Goose Bay, I’m always interested in other peoples’ views and opinions of the area. Shock at the number of mosquitos and black flies is a pretty common reaction. And, for those not already accustomed to the bites, allergic reactions are not an uncommon thing. One really big point, though; the name of the province is “Newfoundland and Labrador”. The mainland portion of the province is Labrador, “The Big Land”, while the island portion is Newfoundland, (some people use the nickname “The Rock” ). The Labrador leg of the journey probably measured some 1250 kms or so, depending on how much additional riding the group did while in the Goose Bay area. When they took the ferry from Blanc Sablon, they were actually in the province of Quebec. The remaining leg of the trip along the west coast of Newfoundland (from Saint Barb to Port Aux Basques) would have been about 650 kms. None of this is to try to take anything away from the team’s accomplishments. I just think it’s important to give recognition to the folks on the island, and not misname them in any way :)

What’s that?? Traveling with a whole film crew ain’t adventure... why have bags on a bike since a car is following you? The CAR could transport your luggage :) for me a beautiful movie, beautiful pictures, lots of fashion clothes and so, nice ad for Rapha, but a bit fake.

One of them is bringing electronic shifters into the middle of nowhere. 😂 I guess you can though when there's a car following you to bail you out if something goes wrong.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the way you are setting this up seems to contradict the very essence of your message; "Use your bike, go back to basics, challenge yourself such that you strip yourself back to the bone and your core identity is revealed." You gather at your parent's castle, shove three expensive bikes in your mama's van, travel by airplane to a remote area, rent a van, start acting basics. The car is always a back-up for when the challenge gets a little too challenging for everybody, but if your girlfriend suffers from knee pain you tell her to piss off. In another video you eat yourself completely sick in a restaurant, another excellent challenge for the lost western world. Don't let me be misunderstood, I love your videos. But this is for wealthy people who need an alternative form of Disneyland. I am 58, I am Dutch, I live in Taiwan. I commute by bike, up to 6 hours a day, frequently wearing a pollution mask. I really try to expose the bike message in Taiwan. What's the message in your (though very interesting) videos? "If you put enough money on the table, you can challenge yourself, because you always have a nice support car if you can't make it anymore, you can always buy plane tickets, and mama is waiting for you in her castle if you need to recover after your ordeal." I would say: follow the example of Abdullah Zeinab from Melbourne. He really challenged himself, unsupported, did the unsupported Indipac race in Australia (about 6000 KM) in two weeks, and won the Trans American Road Race, unsupported ( about 7000 km). He didn't hesitate to ride 800 km without rest, in those races.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt like the intended message was utterly contradicted by everything that happened throughout.

Couldn’t watch. Wanted to hear what y’all were saying, but the rave didn’t let me. That was annoying. Please turn down the music in your next video.
