My wife, son (18), and I spent 16 straigjt hours at Disneylad and DCA on January 2nd. We used LL, single rider, and stand-by based on the last FB'd LL video. We rocked it. Thank you Fresh Baked.

For rare visitors, especially in busy times, LL is clearly the deal. Time is money, money is time… Love these vlogs, LL doesn’t help with repeat rides or in between rides so this is super useful for everyone.

Videos like this show the value of rope drop! We did 5 days in November and walked on so many rides in the first two hours of the day. Only bought LLMP on the last day and really didn’t need to and found it tedious to keep track of as opposed to sticking to standby

I was there all last week (Dec 29 to Jan 2) and probably the two best time beaters we had were on Rise of the Resistance and Indy. The posted time on Rise was 75 min and we were on the ride in 20. I am not sure why we got so lucky, but I didn't complain. And Indy we lucked out and just happened to be walking by when it re-opened from being broken down. it took us 10 minutes mainly because there were quite a few LL people we had to wait for. But, for our entire trip Big Thunder was always faster than the posted time by around 10 to 15 minutes average.
@arturomendoza3424Күн бұрын
We just got back from Disneyland today Saturday the 4th. We were there from 11am -about 4:30 pm. The last ride we wen on was Big Thunder. The posted wait time was 40 minutes. We were in and out within 30 minutes.

Fun video! But you did you really save 100 minutes, or just out-predicted wait time by 100 minutes? It might be fun to do a head-to-head comparison of two people at the park at the same time, trying to ride the same attractions. One person can use all of the intel, tip board, knowledge of the queues etc. to guide the sequencing of the attractions, while the other person acts as a control, following a predetermined order without considering queues (for instance, following the shortest path around the park). You could also try other head-to-head trials (using tip board only, using "eyeballs on the queue" only, lightning lane) to get a handle on how valuable all of these tools are.

@WindowtotheMagic16 сағат бұрын
Crowds will be variable throughout the days you are in town, at times being slow, while others will be busier. Attraction wait times will typically be from 15- 75 minutes, depending on which attraction you are at and what time of day you are there. Lines for food and merchandise will also vary by location and time of day, going from short lines to longer lines at busier times. Remember that 99% of what you find during a visit to Disneyland is what you look for... if you look for good, you will find it. The same goes for bad. Hope you enjoy your visit.

In golf they have a process of making a match competitive they allow players to have handicap ratings. So if you are serious about this, you need to reduce the time required for your test. you are doing it as an individual who knows the course very well. You don't account for, families, toddlers, age 60 plus. So with what you know cut the time in half as the target and do it for 5 days.

The tianas reasearch should count against any savings at indy. Cause getting in line the first time when it was at 80. Would have been better then leaving for 20 minutes to have came back to a 10 minute higher posted time. This may be acceptable for a causal local like your self. But for tourists its probably best strategy to just follow your queue science. Which is to recognize the true wait times vs posted wait times. Dont aim for the biggest savings but instead stay away from catfish posted times that are falsely low.

So I don't understand the premise of this video. How are you going to save time by standing in the Standby Line. The line is the line. It moves at a pace that is partially driven by how many guests are in the LL line and by the rides inherent built-in load cycle. If you get into a stand by line that has an indicated 75 minute wait - where are you saving minutes? I guess being the end of the year and you have some footage built-up you needed to make something to get clicks, but this ain't it.
@WakenBakeableКүн бұрын
He's measuring the time differential between forecast and actual. Not "saving time" per se.

Bro obviously doesn’t understand the point of the channel…which video were u watching 😂
@BobothePirate24Күн бұрын
@@michaelt9583Honestly I don't understand it either. Will you explain to me? I commented that all he's doing is picking the long lines. And proving that Disney's lying about the weight times which seems to be factual and he commented Dave himself. Commented back to me that I didn't watch the video and I'm watching the whole video. But I'm not understanding where I was wrong in my first impression. Which is the same as this guy's comment.
@michaelt9583Күн бұрын
@@BobothePirate24I’m no expert haha but I think his main point is understanding when and when not to hop in a standby line. On days in the park like this one every line is huge. I think his goal here was to find cues that were shorter than the posted wait time and if it beat it it’s considered a “discount”. Disney isn’t necessarily lying about wait times, there is a buffer period between time updates and he is taking advantage of that time period and his knowledge to find the shortest lines even when it may not seem that way on the surface.
@sarahhansen8004Күн бұрын
He’s using his knowledge of the queues to choose which he can beat the estimates on. Some he looks at visually and knows it’s going to be about the same as the posted and some he can tell they’ll be shorter. It’s just for fun.
@BobothePirate24Күн бұрын
Two minutes in. All you did in the whole video was pick the longest lines then prove Disney was lying about wait times. Another behemoth lying to the common folk? What a revelation.

Still watching. Are you saying I'm wrong? I am a fan Dave. I appreciate what you do. The best thing a KZbinr can do is take constructive criticism. Which I am trying to do....
@philipstephens5960Күн бұрын
If you've actually been to Disneyland, you'll know that Disney isn't in the business of lying about wait times. I've experienced PLENTY of wait times that were accurate. However, there is often a lag between when a queue starts to shorten and when the posted time gets updated, and that's where through simple observation of the queue with your own eyes, you can spot when a time savings is possible. This is what David does, and it speaks to his experience at the parks.
@FreshBakedDisneyКүн бұрын
There are at least 3 queues I don’t get into because the times listed are correct. The point is that I’m using my experience and observations to know which will be discounts
