If the LDS church was led by God, they would have figured out homosexuality isn't a sin a LONG time ago. Stopping the happiness of someone else is not okay. Everyone trying to fit into a mold isn't healthy. And I do mean everyone. So many people in the LDS church don't think they are ever going to be "good enough" and that's not healthy.

@@sprintingsloth6929 Right. You're not going to believe this. And I don't expect you to. But there is a thing called the B.I.T.E model. (Behavior control, Imformation control, Thought control and Emotional control) It's a basic breakdown of how to tell if you are in a cult like organization. The LDS church checks a lot of the boxes on this list. I'm an ex-member of the LDS church. I was a member from birth to 21 years old. The church is trying to be less cult like. That's why they changed the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet. And I'm glad. The members deserve better. I hope the best for them. I hope for the abuse in the church to stop. I hope people wake up and realize the church is not true. Not even close. If you decide to leave, there's a whole ex-mormon/ex-LDS community out there online. They are wonderful people. If you're in the Utah area, you'll likely find groups that meet in person. I recommend Mormon Stories Podcast here on KZbin specifically their Thrive Stories series.
