Well, Dylan, I lost track of KTL for a bit, but found you again today! My 24-footer has been asleep on its trailer for a couple years. How pleasant to hear your narrations again, and to let the calming pace of your cinematography sink into the deeper parts. Blessings!

How do you find your fisher 25, I'm thinking of getting one or a colvic 28.6 . How do the sail and handle at sea. Your guidance would be really appreciated.
@KeepTurningLeft Жыл бұрын
I could not be happier - she sails on rails with that rig and shallow keel. I sail as much in the winter time as in the summer - so the heated cabin is jolly good. I use a tiller extension when helming outside. Very comfortable interior. Not the fastest boat in the world - but that does not bother me. Buy one if you have the cash.
@3in1Machining Жыл бұрын
Thankyou for your recommendation, Im approaching retirement and not sure whether to go for a deep keel or a shallow draft. Whereas I see the pleasure you get during winter or summer sailing. Moreover sailing in unusual places. When retired there is no rush. Thanks again and I enjoy you channel and your mindset prorated in your videos. Thanks again.

Top work Dylan. Those beaching legs are very common around Brittany, less so here. I’ve made them for my boat but haven’t tried them out yet. Bit of an on/off day yesterday wasn’t it? We were getting damp at the Suffolk Show just up the road.

Backing plates are often a pita to get right. Did you recess and fix the nuts in the backing plate ? As one supposes you would often stow the legs. And then a shorter bolt to act as a keeper? As against a pier the legs and soft board/fender would be an issue…..

Jobsagooden. I like the cut fender. Just beware aireated sand, i once had aa leg sink and it pinned the boat down when the tide came in, had the bash the bolt out with the hull submerged, popped up ok, but hell of a job to dig the leg out.
