He keeps saying, "all you have to do is..." and then shows yet something else you have to do to set up this thing! And, he has a helper, equally knowledgeable in its assembly. I can't imagine, especially as a solo camper, setting this thing up in a campground unless I was staying for a week or more. There are simpler tents on the market.

+Thomas Darby vast majority of campers travel in twos so it seems to be aimed at families and couples, not single campers.

It's fine actually. I put it up in the rain first time without instructions. Had I found this video is have had an easier time of it I think, but really not difficult...

Good video but you don't supply or inform the whereabouts of the suction-cup fixings you suggest. Where can we get them, please?

How do you drive away?

With our unit, although not Outwell but in every other way identical, there are 3 extra polls that came with it which you attach to the side attaching to the van and tie them off like a normal tent. Takes about 2 minutes.

Good engineering is not adding things to get what you want, but removing the unnecessary. I'd pitch a tent next to my car.

our less than 2 year old country road tent, has a completely deteriorated roof, after 9 wks use. though the supplier and factory stated, that a lifespan of 10 weeks for such a tent is normal. So don't use it in the sun, as you won't get any warranty

wow thats alot of stuff you have to do for a snsll tent!

We have an Outwell Scenic road 200 , which is very similar to the above model. As noted in all the comments, its well made, but heavy and complicated!! Even two adults have a game pitching on a level surface , and its just too tall and top heavy ( dragging it around to pitch correctly!!) Think we will be popping it on e bay soon, and looking elsewhere.

Featuring a fixed attachment to the vehicle and not allowing it to be used/moved during the duration of the stay severely limits this design

Three words: MIX the music! Level is way to high , compared to dialogue.

I was going to say the same thing. I had to change the sound when the music was on.

Damn straight. Pastor a very quietly spoken bloke with lots plinky plonky music. Annoying as otherwise a very useful video, though the ease of putting away is nothing like reality I feel...

I don't see the point in attaching it to the car. Fair enough if you cook in the back of the car as they in 4x4's but this is just tied side doors. Would be more comfortable on good camp chairs than sitting in the car and you sleep in it. There's enough messing around putting the tent up, without prating around with car. Just pitch a tent!

Veramente interessante :-)

and after you took 1 hour to put up the tent, you forgot to do groceries with the car and you can start all over again...

indeed, poor mixing, but looks like a nice unit, just redo the video.

Rather complicated and time-consuming, and NOT a 1-person job😏
