Beautiful video and hike!!! Love the stick footage, holding up the boulder. LOL! We hiked Ouzel Lake the day before. The same day you and your dad hiked the Big South trail, Father's Day.

Nice. Well done with the water footage. Just like being there!

Ouzel is always a great hike and great to see that awesome snow melt. I read about two of the crazy remote lakes in Rocky- Lake Catherine and Lake Powell. Definitely would be an adventure.

That's definitely more water than when we were just up there. I thought I missed the peak but, Nope!

And, another adventure “in da books!” It sure was a beautiful day with a perfect temperature too! But that trip back down was a little hard on the feet, hence the cold water foot soak! That helps revive the feet like nothing else. I had a great time, as usual! Thank you for taking me along! ♥️

Love watching all your videos to prepare for our trips each year! Have you done Lone Eagle Peak? I’ve seen others recommend that hike and was thinking about adding it to our list of hikes in September

Hi. I hiked to Ouzel Lake in July of 1966 with a group from Camp Saint Malo. The difference was that the Counsellors took us up a boulder field before we got to the lake. Have you heard of that route? Thank you for a great video!
@nicksangetta8874 Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I have not heard of it! I'm guessing its a route south of the trail somewhere.

I retired in 2020, moved to Longmont and hike in RMNP at least once a week. I was on the Ypsilon trail Wednesday. I have friends that tell me I should upload my hikes, but I tell them I don't need to, I have Nick Sangetta and I send them a link to your channel. So, dude thanks for all the amazing posts. I was wondering if they've done any work on the road to the Wild Basin TH? I drive a Ford GT. lol
@nicksangetta8874 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'm sure I will run into you on the trail someday. I believe they did fill the Wild Basin road but it looks like the massive rains has washed some of it away. There were a few big holes to navigate but it was not near as bad as it was. I dont know about a Ford GT on it though! That might be rough.

I enjoyed the hike! It was a beautiful area as all the others trails are in RMNP an Colorado. The water is flowing hard this year,hopefully it will cut down on fires there. Do you plan all the hikes or do you plan them together? I guess a lot depends on the weather to.. Thanks For sharing.

Thank Lauren! I plan the hikes.

Just beautiful. Good to see so much water and green everywhere. This part of Missouri is in serious drought. Hope the fires don't happen for any of us this year.

Just got back today. There was a ton of water, with tons of snow left to melt.

Nick, is there a way to summit Shadow Mountain?
@nicksangetta8874 Жыл бұрын
Yes. I did it last year on the 4th of July. Pretty fun!
