That was a great synopsis of our hike to the summit of Coffintop! Just a bit more elevation gain than our hike yesterday. Beautiful day too with the blue skies and mild temperatures. Loved the Ladybugs at the top and the great rock formations along the way. Your Ruby Drone song fit in just right, too! Great work on this one from start to finish! 💗

Great Hike Nick. Those are not Lady Bugs, They are an invasive species brought here by our government from our friends in Asia, it's called an "Asian Lady Beetle". They have more spots than a Lady Bug and they are known to possibly bite.

Hi Nick! My SIL and I are planning our family trip to RMNP in July 25. We have been using your videos to help us decide how to spend our days in the park! I am curious about the Fire Trail... I can't find it on the map; is it possible it was renamed more recently or is this a trail you have to hunt up on your own? Thank you so much for your videos!!! We can't wait to come hike!
@nicksangetta88743 күн бұрын
@rebeccaharrison9343 Hi Rebecca! The fire trail doesn't show up on maps. That's what's so cool about it. It's just past the first major bridge with hand rails that is maybe 0.2 mile past the Bear Lake TH/Glacier Gorelge TH split. You cant miss it going up. However you will bypass Alberta Falls if you take the Fire Trail. Good luck on your trip!

Well, that was a doozy of a season finale! I have to say, that area around Cameron Pass is my favorite place to hike, as the beauty of it all is unsurpassed. Every place we have gone up there has been epic! Loved the songs you made for the hike, too. This one had everything! Ruby, your songs and the sheer beauty of that area. I am so privileged to be able to go on these adventures with you........lots of memory making for sure. Loved the hike and the video! Great job, Nick!!! ❤

There's an old trail about 0.2 mile below Granite Pass that goes down along the drainage to Jim's Grove that I used to take to come down from Longs Peak. The trail intersection isn't obvious, but there used to be an old post that once had a sign on it about 30 feet off the trail. There are some old timbered steps built into the trail. There's also an old trail that goes past the toilet at Chasm Junction down Mills Moraine to the main trail. That one does a hairpin turn at an old post that's leaning in the crook of a tree. It connects to the main trail a couple of hundred yards above the sign near the creek just below Jim's Grove. They both save a few minutes, and very few people ever walk them, so they're kind of fun.
