We have to agree with you on the chem trails! It's terrible and not the air we want to be breathing in. We've been on some pretty steep and rocky trails ourselves, but the beauty and the views always make the hike worth it! I hope I can still do hikes like this when Im your moms age! Kudos to her for getting out and enjoying nature!❤

This video reminds me a bit to the Beatles song "Band on the run", which same way as your experience on this outdoor chapter began quite calm and was keeping this mood for a while, once suddenly a door was opened like in your case by breaking treeline and the situation both in the song and on the trail changed fundamentally onto a somehow dramatic touch, which kept maintained to the very end of the video, which at this state is a bit different to that Beatles song which in the last part turned into a more optimistic mood. Well, those chemtrails may not improve your landscape experience, but is nevertheless one of the consequences of our modern life, which's comfortability no one wants to miss anymore. Or do you like to refrain on a comfortable access to the hiking area trailheads by car, although the streets being required for a quick approach to your outdoor destination just cut the natural landscape at least once you crossed the NP or SP lines, not to be spoken about the output by keeping a car engine working but is having an affect to the rise of global temperatures and consequently to the landscape afterwards. So in order to break all this down to one phrase: You can't have a modern life with an easy access to rewarding outdoor activities and put away the negative consequences of that which also can affect the quality of your outdoor experience.

I have suggested this channel to my glfamily, who come along with us every summer. My opinion is Trump is a moron. I cannot, in good conscience, continue to support a channel that tries to sway an audience with politics. I just can't. So, if you want to make light of losing subs, go ahead, but know that I was subscribed for 4 years or more before I made this decision. This channel is a reflection of you, yes. It is yours to do with what you wish. But you also need to think of it as a business. I own a business, 3 restaurant franchises. I dont mention politics at all. Ever. I dont care nor do I care to know what your politics are. If you are willing to come into my restaurants and drop down money for my product, you are welcome. Come on in. If someone tries to start political discourse, I try to end it quickly. Why? Because politics is so divisive. As soon as someone knows your stance, they make a quick decision to either remain lital to your brand, or bolt for the competition. I guess my words of caution here would be: as you try to build a brand into something that is long term sustainable, you shouldnt do anything that would drive people away. You want to amass as many followers as you can. Dont give anyone a reason to go watch any other channel. Anyway, I wish you luck in the future. I will miss watching your videos, but, again, I will not put money into a channel that promotes Donald Trump. Sorry for the length. Nick, I love your hiking videos and I thoroughly enjoyed hiking RMNP. I was amazed at the elk rutting at Moraine Park. If oil is discovered at that location how do you think an oil rig will look as a backdrop to all those bull elk photos. If you were to turn off Fox News for a moment and read the Department of the Interior part of Project 2025 you will see where they want to lease public lands for drilling and mining. That public land could very well be Moraine Park. Additionally, our current 118th Republican majority congress has all ready passed HR8998 which is verbatim what the Project 2025 Department of the Interior mandate states. Wake up man and do your own research and quit accepting everything you hear as fact before our country is sold to the highest bidder! Peace.

Sorry you had a bad hike! Now I know not to go there. I'm curious what your mom was saying. Was she trying to calm you down? LOL I was on the Colorado River Trail on this same day heading up to Shippler's Cabin to recreate a photo taken of me from about 1990. Didn't go up to Lulu City though, had my parents waiting for me back about 1.5 miles down the trail. All I could hear were the Elk bugling in the distance.

I watch you for your rad hiking videos. As a Kiwi, I felt like you “cliffed out” and forgot why we have watched you for years. If you want to do a political vlog and wear your politics on your sleeve, I completely respect your views but do it as a separate channel. Respect your audience for what you do best to protect your hard-earned legacy of making great videos of your tramps and climbs in The Rockies. Mixing it up with politics is a big turnoff for your international fans.

I find that people who complain about trail conditions have never done a day of trail work they just expect others to do it for them.

I commend you for taking a stance. I've typically been an independent voter for most of my life, but for the first time ever it was easy this election cycle to decide to register as a Republican and I am definitely voting for Trump. Harris is a complete embarrassment and also bypassed the primaries which is very un-American in my opinion. The American people are supposed to vote for their candidates in the primaries, not delegates.

DIA is like the sixth busiest airport in the world and all that air traffic usually comes in from the north. When I have to work in Hudson, I get to see those planes up close before they hit the runway, one after another. Nothing like the vapor trail of a jet airplane to ruin an otherwise beautiful sky. And we can say that every vote counts, but when it comes to the prez vote, we all know Colorado’s electorates will go blue, so what can you really do? Trump may very well win in the end though, just like in 2016, on account of other states. We’re all emotionally sensitive to our political identities.
