Street fighter is a game of which is full of characters, each with unique movesets. The blue stuff is one of Ryu's moves called a Hadoken. As you can see it is a projectile. Most characters will have some sort of projectile like the hadoken.

@damntasia Definitely not. Even pros have a regular job. Usually only top 3 get paid and travel expenses lessen profit. Even with a sponsorship, you don't have enough to live comfortably.

Most important thing imo is to understand the game, by learning all the different game mechanics and being able to read your opponent. Then ofc you have to practice a lot and play real people. Check out VesperArcades SF IV guides, they are really helpful! If you have played for 3 years you will probably know a lot of the stuff already but some things may be new :).

Actually thats false information.. Daigo switched to Yun because capcom water'd down Ryu. Daigo stated that Yun is one of the best characters now because he is a lot more flexible then Ryu Ryu is still a great character but Yun is better
