I am impressed! I don't normally follow wood projects, but have been fascinated with your content since i come across your channel. You have built an impressive selection of accessories for your lathe! Cutting the zigzag pattern using an eccentric and dividing set up on the headstock, following a radius profile template on your spring loaded cross slide, as well as the eccentricity you built into your chuck rotation, and then the live tooling you have made as well offers a lot of spots for errors, and you boxes look amazing! The complexities were not lost on me and the finished parts are spectacular, congratulations 👏

very cool work, its great to see ornamental work done with a setup that doesn't include a dedicated rose engine and a mental geared elliptical chuck, makes me hopeful for an old Cromwel Mk1 lathe I have with a very long bed and T slots on the top plus back and front :) I still have to work on that though, it was just a plain turning lathe, no powerfeed so it's been collecting dust on a distant back burner. just wondering have you got any ideas on how to get custom rose engine style turnings from a moving chuck as opposed to a moving headstock?

try putting the cross-slide on an eccentric coupled to the main spindle> you get rosettes for every gear combination
