Wow! Great performance! I'm so glad somebody has finally recorded my arrangement. This is wonderful. Thank you so much for this. I was planning on arranging some more FFT pieces but it's been difficult to find the time. If I were to arrange some more, would you play them?

Toby Sherriff DUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you like this!!! :) i recorded your Zalbag arrangement too, so give that a listen too! :D i apologize for the modifications ahhh i just couldn't make some things work but so i hope you don't mind i changed a few things for playability, but overall I LOVE YOUR ARRANGEMENTS AND THE ANSWER IS HELL YES I WOULD PLAY ANY FUTURE FFT ARRANGEMENTS YOU WRITE!!! :D i've been working on an tactics piano collections for the past year since that awesome game never got one, so i've been writing my own and learning and recording and transcribing the few quality FFT piano arrangements out there, and putting them all in that playlist, hopefully an album eventually.... we'll see lol. but yeah if you were to write any more i would be super down to play them!!! :D so glad you found me!!!

I first heard this in FF Opera Omnia (Agrias lost chapter) and it's so wonderful. Beautiful arrangement and playing...can't believe I'm discovering this beautiful music through a mobile game lol

Wow! I just had this on in the background, and the moment I heard the main theme come in, I immediately stopped what I was doing. This is such a beautiful arrangement and performance!

Oh man, this is the saddest track in the game - Hitoshi Sakimoto definitely able to create all kind of moods. You nailed the chorus/hook/whateveritscalled with flourish too at 3:19 , definitely takes me back and reminded me how tragic Ovelia's story was. Well done!
@purpleschala2 жыл бұрын
AHHH thank you so much!!! And yes omg her leitmotif pervades ALL of the saddest and most poignant moments in the game in one form or another--the most tragic variant, to me, is the one that plays during the ending cutscene when her story is brought to an end, the irony being that it is a somewhat slower, happier-sounding major version of her theme, which makes the whole scene accompanying it even more shocking and sad.

Is it ok to cry over this wonderful piece 🥺

I try not to but I can't help it. It brings back both fond nostalgia for a game and followed by a bitter sorrow for a single character.

This moment at 1:19 will always, always catch me off guard. This has to be the next piece I'll learn on piano. Thank you very much for your work, it's so nice to have this many piano covers of good RPG soundtracks
@purpleschala6 жыл бұрын
KingRagink aww thank you so much man, I really love meeting other people who appreciate the golden age of JRPGs ❤️ you definitely should learn it! It’s so satisfying, really Ovelia is such a beautiful, tragic character and this arrangement does her so much justice.
@KingRagink6 жыл бұрын
Same for me ! It's not easy for me to share this passion since not many people are very interested in playing old difficult and slow games. But each time I talk to my friends about those games, they are intrigued a lot. JRPG has really been a huge source of inspiration for me. Amazing vibes, soundtracks, characters, stories, even the locations are interesting sometimes. There's so much depth. It's definitely part of my life now.

I believe that anyone who manages to beat FF Tactics will go on to find great success in life, because it is SO hard, only someone with ironclad perseverance can finish it, and therefore achieve almost any goal they set their mind to.
@ThrashingAssaultOfficial7 жыл бұрын
I really like the intention of your message, I really do, but... This game is unfortunately pretty easy, with very few tricky moments; only 3 or 4 story battles are considered "very hard" by most players. Some of the few that comes to mind are: Gaffgarion at Lionel Castle, Wiegraf/Belias at Riovannes Castle and Barich at the Necrohol of Mullonde. Maybe also some of the battles where you have to protect a guest character, but only because their A.I. are truly idiotic. If you have Orlandu and someone trained as a Calculator in your party, nothing can stop you at the end of the game... The "War of the Lions" PSP port was cool, with all the extra stuff and the better translation... But if they base a new PS4 release on it, they really need to add a "Hard mode" (and also fix that annoying slowdown glitch during all the spells and abilities).

oh wow, really? Thank you so much!! Personally, I think the (solo) piece that turned out the best on my channel is Save the Espers from FF6 ahahaha. I'm really glad you like this one though, it's a great arrangement and I wish there were more Tactics arrangements out there. Saves me the trouble of doing it myself LOLLOLOLOL

Ahh, I concur! Why (until now, of course) has no one played this amazing arrangement!? Love your work. So emotive, and heartfelt. Please keep it up with the FF music!!! And also... can I make a suggestion? Perhaps "Decisive Battle" from FFX Piano Collections? I know it's a bit much, but I know if you played it, it'd make my life 110% more awesome!! Thank you for always communicating with your audience!

I am SO excited and glad to hear that there will be more Ivalice and Hitoshi Sakimoto! I periodically check to see if people are doing covers on KZbin, and there is just sooo little, yet SO much material. Have you had a chance to hear some of the orchestral remasters of tracks in FFXII? The Zodiac Age version of "Crossing Over the Hill"/Ozmone Plain is just amazing sounding! Have you heard the soundtrack to FFTA2? It's kind of a very underrepresented one. It's a great collection of remasterings from Sakimoto's great themes, including some of my favorite tracks from FFXII. But really I just love all his stuff; he has a very distinct style but I have NEVER minded because it is just beautiful.
@TheArchiveOfWonder6 жыл бұрын
Funny because I never really thought of the Tactics soundtrack as being on the same level as some of the more iconic Square ones. But after listening to you I'm going to revisit it in earnest. Simply beautiful.

This song always puzzled me. It has a light, almost hopeful mood. It almost feels happy. But Ovelia lead a tragic life and had a cruel destiny, always being a pawn on someone else's chess board. A magnificent piece anyway. Time to delve onto this soundtrack again. You really should stop making videos of these gorgeous FFT arrangements. You'll end up making me play through the game once more. BTW, did I get a glimpse of the Hero's Theme at 3:33?
