I already tried it two times to dehydrate citrus slices but both times i failed. Interesting approach to cover them in syrup before dehydrating them, i will try that soon. Thank you for this video!

I am a florist and I try to make these every year but they always fail. I have never tried making and dunking them in a syrup, I am so pleased to have found this method. Thank you.

After baking them, do you keep them in the oven overnight to let them dry? Also for how long can we store them
@CookingCakeShow4 жыл бұрын
Yes overnight in the oven turned off! You can store them for a few months in a air tight container, 2/3 months .
@taydani51854 жыл бұрын
Do they have to stay in the oven after they done?
@deedee28743 жыл бұрын
that is the easiest recipe for orange slices :) all the other ones make you boil and add so many steps, is the rinf bitter?
@CookingCakeShow3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the kind of citrus too, but its usually not since you pass them in syrup first!

How sweet are these lemons, and how long do they last?
@CookingCakeShow4 жыл бұрын
How sweet after putting them in the syrup you mean? You can store them in a air tight container for a couple of months!
@tiffanyd54574 жыл бұрын
@CookingCakeShow - Livia Pucci Sorry for the late reply, but yes, how sweet are they after dipping them in the syrup. Also, do you need to flip the lemon halfway throughout the baking process?
@angelsanchez-ki5df3 жыл бұрын
I followed your recipe but I covered them when I left them out overnight and when I woke up they weren’t dried if I leave them out to dry this morning do you think that would be OK?
@CookingCakeShow3 жыл бұрын
You would have to put them back in the oven till they are 100%

Caution: 45 minutes @ 300 is way too long and my beautiful translucent lime slices turned brown and were rendered unedible. Better to reduce the heat and give them longer.
