These are the type of fundamental life skills we should be teaching the younger generation. Sadly instead it is to rely on the system. Thank you so much for being authentic about real skills and not faking finding 100% of your food, but also showing how to catch food and prepare it as well. You bring so much hope and positivity in the most grim circumstances and find a way to just live and love sustainably. I hope to make this my lifestyle in the next 2 years with the same attitude and skills I’ve learned from you. Thank you twice over.

When I was a lot younger I would do a lot of survival backpacking trips, and the method I would use was to look for fire wood in areas the rain couldn't reach, never thought of finding it in the trees themselves. Learn something new every day.

Can you boil salt water to make it drinkable? And will boiling any water make it safe?
@estoylaroca3 жыл бұрын
@@kylethedalek From the very little that I know... I think you can boil salt water to make it drinkable. I think the trick is, is to actually not drink what was boiled, but to drink the condensation from boiling. To get the condensation, you put something at the top of the boiling salt water, and then you somehow gather the pooling droplets at the top, maybe let it drip into another container. For the 2nd question, I think that also applies? Don't quote me on that, it's just what I think.
@beatnik68063 жыл бұрын
@@kylethedalek You can't boil saltwater and drink it. Unless when you boil it, put something over it to collect the vapours and drip it in container and drink that. It is pretty slow though and I have never tried it if its efficient so I can't adwise for it in emerygency situation.
