When I was in Alaska, as a 14 year old kid, I remember going out and dipping a bucket of water from the stream. You'd have to let it sit and warm up for an hour before you could comfortably drink it without getting a brain freeze. The water was coming right off the glaciers and it was VERY COLD! I KNOW what you mean, Greg, about the water being cold! Clear and breathtakingly cold and no worries about giardia or any of the other bad stuff! Best to boil it, though! Wish I had been catching fish as big as those you guys are catching at that lake! I've watched all the episodes, so far and sharing them on my FB page and enjoying them immensely! I'm 67 now, and disabled so, this is me vicariously enjoying your adventure!

I am actually shocked this hasn't been done yet. There is a huge population of folks that don't know how to use a computer (older people) that would LOVE LOVE LOVE this organic no BS content. Put it on any TV channel during a good time spot and it would explode, mark my words. Doesn't even have to be discovery, any channel. It would need to be cut down a bit, at least initially. Greg would be on the late night TV interview circuit within 3 months and be a spokesman for all the outdoor gear he could do. Guaranteed.

I personally think big cable networks don't deserve someone like Greg. Plus when he's doing it his own way, he can continue to do it his own way. Thank you so much for the hint on bow-drill fire making. I am a 90 pound woman and steadying the spindle was so hard. I know now, with this method, I can start a fire. Thank you so much.

I’m watching all your 30 day survival challenge videos a second time. Good effort on that bow drill, I pray I will never need to make one.
