Normally you should report immediately to the nearest police station then you make affidavit then you submit to Home Affair to be filed then you apply a new one. It happened to me I lost ID because people can make fraud using false ID.

The duplicate fake ID it was between Home Affairs and Nigerian deal 🤝. If I lost my ID before then reported immediately to the police to make an affidavit and made a report applied another at Home Affairs then nothing happened. What if she didn't report urgently? Another mistake people make is to rely on 1 bank account. There was a time when FNB needed proof It was really me and requested proof of residence. I used Capitec to submit proof of bank.

My son share the ID with some body, his been trying to resolve this as long as I can remember. H. A. is been seeking so many affidavit to very this, still the matter is not resolved. A lady I worked with was a victim and the person which stole her ID was somebody which worked at the company's HR department. This people have access to all you personal information.

SA International Private law and citizenship common law is very clear on this situation, regardless of what Mozambiquen or Nigerian law says. In terms of SA law the child born in wedlock becomes citizen of the country where the father is a citizen. And a child born out of wedlock assumes the citizenship of the mother. In a case where citizenship was illegally obtained the default citizenship status of the parents persist. Thus if Chidimma's dad or mum obtained SA citizenship fraudulently, they each will be regarded as Nigerian or Mozambiquen citizens, respectively. Chidimma will be citizen of Nigeria. It's not accurate to say it's not certain what parents citizenship she's deemed to take.

I studied in SA. I have a SA friend before I left. He told me his car was robbed of his laptop and other gadgets in his bag while in a car. His ID was in it. 10 or 12 years later while applying for a job he finds out he has a criminal record and that jail time was served with his ID. He is currently looking for avenue to sue the state.

No sure about your datas , look i have been in South Africa form 2012 and i went through legal Chanel of applying for an asylum status, i got it but after the Covid we were told to apply online for the renewal. I i did applied from 2021 and only get a response last year and the home affairs asked me to pay a R2000 for overstaying after they faild to renew my asylum permit on time, it is just ridiculous....
