Butcher or slaughter. Hint: for saving games and recalling what it is that you were planning. I save my town with a title like Potteries 6 (6th save of my earthenware producing town) ... Lime and Glaze (the 2 things that I need to import or produce. It gives me a little memory jog of what to look at first.

Congrats on 100 population! 🥳 Bacon!! Though do be aware that the pigs apparently eat a lot, so don't go hog wild... 😂🤣 I've noticed that the stone paving acts like a building so won't let you set other buildings over it, like the Market Stalls and even Archways. Best to build everything first, then fill in the voids with stone. Horse Tack looks like a great sell price, but it take a LOT of leather to make so might not be as lucrative as you'd think (I put mine on pause). I suspect leather into shoes would make you more. Take a look at the individual costs as they show up in the market. And remember what happens to a well built too close to the river... 🙏 Charcoal

I know you’re lacking labourers and it is not a high priority, but getting the stones and the village square built would look nice:)

You should plant fruit trees next to the yardless houses and see if they pick the fruit and dry it still, even if they don't have yards.

They won't. But they gather them from the Fruit trees I plant manually in the village, not the orchard

The main problem you have is that you have too few people, you need to build way more houses before you add more workplaces. Like basically no building in your town has all workplaces occupied.

I have lots of laborers but they are doing stuff at all other buildings where resources are needed.
@pieter-bashoogsteen22839 ай бұрын
@@Skibitth I am not talking about laborers specifically (though I am sure you could use more), I am talking about the fact that you could do with making sure you have your workstations more filled up before you add more.

@@Skibitth You could focus on decorating and growing the town next episode. If you clear the construction que and build those houses, 10 to 14 or so, I think you’ll be looking at a people surplus again.
@tmg74769 ай бұрын
@@pieter-bashoogsteen2283 Agree. I tend to overbuild industries and underbuild housing and it does hurt. But I also don't understand his "Resource Supply" rules and am probably creating problems by checking all options for each building. I need to use my labor force smarter. Skibitth does need more houses but darn his villages look a lot prettier than mine ever do.

at 23 min in roughly the issue is the people have just moved in is why they don't have any money yet, they will earn money over time. I tax people that are at 100$ or more at 10$ per month which levels out their wealth without an issue.

Hiring a farm manager will enable you to set the crops for 6 years so you don't have to micro manage the farms and better than having multiple farms as you can manage the fallow staggered year to year in each field also what nutrients are required. If needed you can create fields just for animals only which is fine but you won't get the nutrients of their fertiliser. I prefer to have more houses than job that are required so that I have more labours if, I normally have people that do not have a job and that is fine because I am not paying them as long as the taxes don't run them into the ground and even so i might have one house i need to help out and giving them 10$ a year is nothing really.
@botmes40449 ай бұрын
I haven't played the game, but I've seen from other videos that you can plan out your crop rotations for each farm, and even schedule when the fields go fallow. I've seen folks do like 2 or 3 different crops, and then fallow. I don't know which button lets you do that, but it looks like the crosses at the top of the Farm menu.
@Skibitth9 ай бұрын
I know but I prefer to do it manually at this stage. I don't want to hire a manager 😁
@botmes40449 ай бұрын
@@Skibitth but why? You've got plenty of income. You could just set what crops you want and forget. I don't see any reason for you to risk having unproductive fields for a season.

@@botmes4044 Some of us have experienced crop rotations go out of sync, so my carefully planned out one field fallow each year suddenly has 2 fallow that year and none the next. @@tmg7476 could be that your farm is understaffed, and so maybe one year they miss planting one of the fields so it gets carried into the next year. Just a thought.

@@botmes4044 Good thought but, although I can't swear to every moment, am using 25x50 fields and when I have looked the farms have been fully staffed.
