We love your videos! Always fun and your editing is ace. I think I will comment more, as you should have loads of subs as your vids are great! 😅. And we will be at the NEC next week and we will stop by the Britstops stand! Dione 😊

Ah thanks Dione. We’re so glad you enjoy them 😎. And thanks for dropping us a comment 🙏. Definitely worth looking at Britstops. It’s helped us out countless times. They’ve upgraded their website which makes it a whole lot easier to search for places.

We love Britstops, definitely need to get out and try a few more this year. Their new website is looking great, it seems to be easier to find places. 😊

Awesome 🙌🏽. It’s great for us as we travel around. The new website is so much better to use and find places. The current app drives me mental how it works 🤪. Websites way more user friendly. It’s also easier to find alternatives to pubs. Found some great farm shops, with some great food 😍. Thanks for dropping us a comment. Happy BritStopping 😎🤙🏽

Found your channel and subbed. You guys make a cute couple :) Plus, I've had my share of crappy old Talbots, so it's a nice reminder of days past...

Thanks Sam 😎🤙🏽. That’s very kind of you. We’ll do a van tour soon, but there’s not much more to see than what’s in this video 😂🤣

In the US there's another branch of Harvest Host called "Boondockers Welcome" Not businesses, just people offering their driveways or property to park on for free. Wonder if they have this in the UK? They may charge for power, firewood or some extras but less pressure to spend $ like you would feel obligated to at the Harvest Host locations. There's also Vanly which is like Air BnB for driveways :) Workaway is also a good option for longer term place to stay if you are able to work a few hours per day for the host. If I was to do Van life full time, I would invest in a plug in Hybrid vehicle, that way you could park and slow charge at any free charger overnight - it can take 6-8 hours to charge an EV if not using the fast chargers. Free "gas", free safe parking, and use of car's "Utility mode" means you can use the car for heating and cooling so you would not need to add those systems or extra batteries - would save a lot of space inside and a lot of time on your build. No worry about the knock, just set an alarm for the time the charger would stop charging, when you would have to move on.

Ah the US is way more setup for Van Life than over here. We’ve seen people on KZbin use Boondockers and a few of the others you mentioned. They seem like great options. Would be great if something more was done over here. Maybe with Harvest Host buying Britstops, they may bring over some of these companies 🤞🏼 to the UK. Hope we can make it over to the US one day and experience Van Life. It just looks next level 🤙🏽😎

Just had your channel recommended by KZbin. Perfect as we are about to start van life with our Frenchie this summer. How do you handle leaving him in your van alone? How do you handle the heating/cooling for him if you need to run in to a shop or the cinema? Thank you 🙏

Hey that’s awesome and welcome to the channel. Franks pretty good in the van. If we need to leave him, he’s fine. We never leave him if it’s too hot. But so far so good. We have a camera so we can watch him too. We also have a cat which keeps him company 😂. For heating we have a heater but he has some awesome blankets and he loves to sleep. In the summer, Frank turns into Peter Panterson (our nickname 🤣). He really can’t deal with hot weather. If it’s mental then fans and a wet microfibre towel on him, helps him keep cool. We’re on Instagram and have a website too, so if there’s anymore questions or info you need. Just give us a shout 🤙🏽

Nice old bus - Never knew about Bristops. Thanks 🤓

Thanks 🙏. We love Old Gertie. Check them out. Their website lets you see what places are on offer (without location names) before you buy a membership.

New to this, as just got my Berlingo. Subscribed to P4N and camp bible, but found not alot local in Cornwall around Truro area, or Devon Plymouth area. Could I ask before I pay out again, could you let me know on your app if there are many places in this general area. Thanking you, enjoying your video's. Oh yes I'm self contained as have a foldout loo for berlingo. Xx

Hey 👋🏽 thanks for commenting. Britstops have a Discover page that shows you all their locations on a map. Which you can view even as a non member. They just don’t give you the location name. It should give you an idea of what’s in your area before having to buy a membership. Hope that helps 😎🤙🏽

Not a fan of BritStops when it first started out but if Harvest Hosts have it then it may take off. Have to tell you the last couple of weeks here in NE we have had sun and mild weather. Changing now though,
@TristandKez8 ай бұрын
The new website makes searching for locations a lot easier. The app was a nightmare 😬. I’m hoping now harvest hosts have bought them they add more businesses. Some areas are a bit sparse and they add a few chargeable car parks 🤷🏼. Fingers crossed they keep improving it 🤞🏼

1000 free overnight stops for £45 isn't free 🤦 Scotland is easy to find stops, its harder getting signal to actually find them
@TristandKez8 ай бұрын
Scotland is so much easier to find stops and park ups. Funny we've had better signal in Scotland than a lot of England and Wales 😂
@lottie25258 ай бұрын
I'd not heard about Britstops so thanks for that info. Is there an obligation to use the pub or farm shop or whatever it is and are they all free stopovers? It's such a shame that the UK is so rubbish at accommodating this style of travel and that campsites are so fricking expensive for what they offer.
@TristandKez8 ай бұрын
You’re welcome 🤗. No there no obligation to buy anything at any of the locations. You just need to be a member 😎. It’s totally up to you if you want to spend any money. Yeah it’s way more tricky here than the rest of Europe or further afield. Hope Britstops expands and/or other schemes come into play over here 🤞🏼
