George's knowledge of each piece and his gracious attitude are rarely seen today. Much respect Mr. Conrad.

Back in 1969 thru 1972 while still in high school, I got to work at a Ford/Shelby dealership in So Cal thanks to my dad, the used car manager at the time.Lots of great memories from back then seeing all the Shelby's in these first videos .....to me it's like walking into the back lot where the new Shelby's were parked, It was heaven to me. Over the next few years I got to own 4 Shelby's myself and all the fun I had with them still to this day are some of my most fond memories.

I saw a 68 500 KR convertible in yellow with a white top in his collection. If it has a 4 speed transmission and black interior, it very well may be my Mom's car. She bought it new (actually while it was still on the transporter as it rolled into Chase Morsey's Paradise Ford in Scottsdale, AZ) and drove it for many years. She left it to my younger brother when she passed in 1985, and he sold it in 1995 or 96. There were very few yellow KRs built, especially those with air conditioning. That was a fun car. Mom and I had a lot of stop light competitions between her yellow car and my 69 427 Corvette, great memories. BTW, I sold y last Shelby, a 1970 GT-350 4 speed convertible with air conditioning in Gulfstream Aqua, which I bought new in 1971. It was the last Shelby Mustang sold new in Ford's Western Region, and believed to be the last one sold new anywhere. It had been in storage for many years. I sold it to a good friend, who is going through it not as a restoration, but as a surviving original car. I must say i am enjoying these videos, they bring back some great memories, especially the 67 and 68 Shelbys, with which I was heavily involved back then.

Extremely impressive collection! Great to hear of his vast knowledge, and passion for the cars. I have liked these since my friend's dad bought a dark green GT 500 fastback, and riding in the back, as a 12 year old, holding onto the roll bar, as he did a solo speed trial on a wide open seldomly traveled road. In the late 80's, I spoke with a guy that had a 1969 GT350 red convertible with a California personalized plate: 149 MADE. He told me that that was true, about the 149 made. My second favorite mustang is the 1968 GTCS. Great Vlog, really enjoyed it!

Just WOW. So many cars that I lust over. in 79 my wife and I were looking for a Mustang (we both had Mustang II). I went to a listing for a 66 with "pony package". The guy that owned it had a 69 Chevelle SS 396 with 18,000 miles for $4000. The guy across the street had a 69 GT500KR for $4500. I didn't like the front bumper / grill. I kick myself every time I think of that opportunity that I passed up. Again, more WOW in this video. Thank you sir.

Let me summarize by saying the following.......ONLY on your channel EVAN can you see a motorcraft oil change sticker in Italian. As always brother, great great work. Absolutely love just how humble and grateful Mr Conrad is. Not unlike yourself , he allows the common interest platform of American muscle cars to bring together the very average man ( me), with a super successful collector like himself. Very very cool man.

I have a special bond with the 68 Gt350s because my uncle had one in Candy apple red that i spent my childhood riding around in, in the 90's when they were already pretty rare.. He had sold it the year before Gone in 60 seconds come out for about 35K which was good money for a mint GT350 at that time, he may not still regret selling it but he did for years. I love seeing all the 68's lined up by color, it's like a dream.

Tasca is still in business.boy they went racing !! I get to see a very rare 1965 GT350R here in Connecticut the owner also has an S code as well. He is the man who is in charge of Registration of real Shelby Cobras. If anyone out here is close to Ocean beach in New London ,CT ,every Monday night there is a car show with very nice car's . My parents back in 1965 bought a convertible Mustang,I believe it had a 289 or 260 in it . They were hit from behind in 68/69 and the insurance company claimed it totaled,I think someone wanted it . I wish I had it ,it's out there somewhere.

Hi Evan, I recently discovered your channel and George’s incredible car collection and am an instant fan! I’m a personal trainer and I have an older client of mine that asked me for some help selling his 1968 Shelby GT500KR convertible (428 Cobra Jet). It is Candy Apple Red w/ a white convertible top and located in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Are you able to reach out to George personally to see if he would like to add it to his immaculate collection, or anyone else that would be interested?
@mattskustomkreations6 ай бұрын
This collection is absolutely insane. Thanks for sharing it and to George for showing it. And buckets of money behind this collection- wow! I’m not a fan of the Shelby custom - the wheels are too big and the color doesn’t work for me. Cutting up an original Shelby is another thing… but hey, it’s his car and he loves it so there’s that!
