Can't stand "car guys" like this. They're only in it for the money. Spraying carb cleaner in the carburetor of a engine that hasn't ran in decades is terrible. They don't care about the cars, they just care about selling them.

Agreed. 18So I hated all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will come after me. 19And who knows whether he will be wise or a fool? Yet he will have control over all the fruit of my labor for which I have labored by acting wisely under the sun. This too is futility. 20Therefore I [o]completely despaired over all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun. 21When there is a person who has labored with wisdom, knowledge, and skill, and then gives his [p]legacy to one who has not labored for it; this too is futility and a great evil. 22For what does a person get in all his labor and in [q]his striving with which he labors under the sun? 23Because all his days his activity is painful and irritating; even at night his [r]mind does not rest. And talking about buying a new carburetor for that Mustang no, that's original dude you rebuild it the clogged injectors on the firebird, "will put some new ones in". No, you clean the original equipment and you put it back on the car. These are super low mileage cars that are all original. You keep them original if possible. And if it's good enough, you leave it as a survivor. I don't think you rebuild everything, you leave it as it is. And a lot of these cars look like fantastic survivors. I understand they've been sitting a while. And some stuff will need to be replaced. I'm just saying if you can rebuild that part, you need to rebuild that part to keep the original part on the car.

in 1984, I was 19 years old in the Air Force, another 19-year-old from North Georgia, told me while he was in High School, he worked at a Chevrolet dealer washing vehicles. he said the owner of the chevy store had a separate warehouse where he would put away one brand new corvette and one new Camaro every year, never driven still in the plastic with the window stickers. he would talk about it every once in a while, I truly believe he was telling the truth. I always wondered if it's still around!

Yes, was the internal ford Code name, much like "fox" or SN95, etc. I put a Supercharged 04 cobra engine in a notchback in 2004. Was much harder then because nobody had done it, and no harnesses or anything existed. Then I put a 3.4L Whipple on it. Went 8.90's, would go 9.0's all day long, and eat crotch rockets for breakfast on the street, even roll racing. They'd start to pull away due to gearing and aerodynamics over 150+ mph though.... Good fun!

To preserve the car for long term, you would have to treat it like the the aircraft people do. Of course this only applies to engines on aircraft. Remove all the the fuel, plumb in a separate preservation oil type fluid, crank the engine to coat all surfaces with preservative, drain all the oils and fluids, wrap everything in plastic with enough silica gel packets to absorb any humidity, and finally, have humidity monitors in the sealed area. Then monitor at least once a month in a dry environment of more if the humidity is higher. If the humidity indicators go up, replace the silica gel packs with new ones. Somewhere, there's a place that has cars wrapped in bubbles to preserve them.

Who treats such special collectors cars like this? Ripping off plastic, standing on the engine bay, slamming doors and not a damn fender cover in sight.

LMAO not to be to blunt but they need to bring in some professionals. Wow that was painful watching them struggle to remove the radiator from the 71 Vette and complaining about the stripping seal.

That 68 RS/SS should have 14x8 wheels with the caps and rings. Those bumpers with the vertical guards are more rare option. I personally think they are better looking without. If it has the folding rear seat that’s a really rare option. My 68 Camaro RS/SS is all original matching numbers car 350/4 speed Muncie 110k miles now I’ve had it since 70k

Just another person with more money than they deserve. How many people did they rip off to live this life buying brand new vehicles to let them rot ?

How do you know the man didn't deserve the money he had ?I personally knew Mr. Trammell and he was a self made man who worked hard his whole life for what he had.Perhaps if you worked one tenth as hard as Mr.Trammell(instead of being such a sanctimonious, jealous person)you could afford to buy a few new vehicles and use them as you see fit......

@davidh6818 Nobody is worth millions of dollars. Not you, not I. Greed has destroyed this country. An example would be, I dont want my Dr to be on food stamps, they absolutely should be compensated, not stressing over simple please finances of course. But millions of dollars ? Nope.
