Out of all the repeat variations I would’ve rather had the big transformations take its own slot. SSBE, SSB kaioken, UI AND MIU. Doesn’t make sense to have all these early mid and end variations and not have its own slot for the coolest transformations

Yeah I am about 80 percent sure the roster goes past 164. Also I sent ya boi Rose something a long time ago that suggests a final roster of about 200 Characters. Keep in mind I was correct about the release month for October and I was the first one to say it. Just wait and see my bois, this game is bigger then you might think.😁

For me it's not just the arrows it's also the fact usually the Z games like to have hidden characters or ones we need to aquire via Shenron. That's what always had me feel like there's more than the 164+ even that mystery Character I don't feel is part of the 164(+) slots we currently see. There's still what 60(+) more unrevealed slots. Yeah that's definitely kid Goku but underneath Kid Goku that looks like Teen Goku with the power pole on him if you re-look at that screenshot.

This display is only showing us the characters they will reveal to us it’s not the roster reflection size and I have one piece of evidence to support that claim and also another piece of information that could support us getting one Gt character and possible movie characters in the base game So in the teaser last year they show various characters to which all have been confirmed except for metal cooler tapion and goku ssj4 so with that part being said those three are somewhat essential to the roster in a sense and then … There is a hexagon clip that showed broly one space away from 17 but yet the hexagons show him being farther away ima different spot (maybe not important but I found that strange) it’s seen between the rivals and power vs speed trailer go check it out

I feel like gt goku is going to be beneath ui sign and early z goku Edit: the suspected roster that rose shown is probably what the roster will be so my best bets with gt is that gt goku will probably be inbetween z and super goku and the gt vegeta will be next to goku and then gogeta is next to those two

the following list of characters that NEEDS to be in this game: Black Freeza, Moro, Granola, Merus, Jaco, Whis, Ultra Ego Vegeta, Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku, Orange Piccolo, Beast Gohan, the Gammas, Gas, Gogeta SSJ4, Goku and Vegeta SSJ4, Baby Vegeta, Super 17, and Omega Shenron. It's frustrating when less useful characters take up spots in the game and important characters are left out. This game has the potential to be the best Dragon Ball game ever.

I believe 164 characters is the initial roster in the base game Or 164 initially . Im confident there will be more than 164 characters overall eventually . I believe the movies and GT characters with transformation will be distributed as future DLC for longevity in the game . I can see Bandi milking Sparking zero like xenoverse 2 for updates and dlc . I also noticed every character already revealed has some affiliation with another . For example, you can't have spokevitch without videl. If Deborah is confirm than Badiba gotta be in. Cell then cell Jr .DB Kid Goku then King Piccolo but you get my point.

Eventually more characters from DBZ , movies and GT will be added as DLC eventually. they wouldn't reveal any surprise or missing characters in the game because of their marketing strategy. In addition, if or whenever the Moto , or Granlo ark gets anime , I wouldn't be too surprised that ultra ego Vegeta is added as an DLC in the future.

For anyone confused about Ssjbe, it has the same mechanic that kaioken has for blue goku. Ssjbe is a transformation but to preserve slot space AND if u think about it, Ssjbe is equal in power to kaioken blue. If im wrong it could be stronger then kaioken but lets remember that it can stack and go higher. So, to me this makes sense, if anyone wants to chat about pls comment. 🤗

To the android 17 thing, yes we do need both versions however, i hope that character customization goes into that whereas we get db super 17 but able to customize his clothes with the old z look & moveset. Will we be able to change the chatacters movesets? Aura?

I don't care if the game has 164 characters because we're most likely going to have DLC characters (that we want or would like in the game) Eis Shenron would be a good addition as a GT character. He's never been in a Budokai Tenkaichi game, though.

I believe that #17 (Z) and #17 (Super) will be different characters. The main reasons why I think this is because of how dramatically different their dialogue would be towards other characters and also the way they fight - if you think moves like Power Blitz and Accel Dance (the move used to kill Future Gohan) aren't going to be present in this game, you're delusional. On top of this, on the official website his name is labled as "Android 17 (Super)". Why would they need to specify that he's from Super if there wasn't another variant of the character?

I’m thinking it’s gonna stay at 164 for the base game ofcourse they already confirmed atleast 20+ characters for the first season pass with l think that’s what the arrows are if they are anything it’s somewhere to put the DLC characters when they reveal them post release but yeah we got just under 3 months left they got enough time for 3 more character trailers l don’t see it going over 164 for the base roster.

It's really hard to say, I still think it's 164 (or 165 counting the pre-order mystery) but others say the blue arrows above and below the hexagon mean a new page, with others saying they saw a tweet awhile ago about the base roster being bigger. I'd be happy if the roster was bigger but I think we are good if it's just 164, I think that dragon ball is gonna have a nice handful of playables and either GT or Z-Movies will be in the base, while the other is made dlc after Super Hero and Daima. I feel maybe Z-Movies cause we can get some more giants, Janemba, Hirudegarn and giant Slug. But GT as been highly hinted at with Sean confirming ssj 4 Goku but that could have been dlc work, but we also saw ssj 4 Goku being the transition when Sparking Zero first got announced, why end the montage of bt3 gameplay with someone we aren't gonna be able to play. I love the lack of leaks and info we have and it's purely speculation unless we get something from a voice actor confirming or v-jump scans, it makes me even more hype for this game.
