The 80's, 90's and early 2000's such a great time to be alive playing games at the arcade growing up.

Maybe one day, I rarely have the time to play games these days unfortunately, let alone for a whole weekend! I have had the urge for a Theme Park marathon recently however.

@@TheLairdsLair it's cool I understand the time thing maybe just a poll of people opinion on time sink games but I really hope to see a theme park video or theme hospital bullfrog put so much humour into ther games .what ever you choose to do il watch as the content is banging

Now I saw why exactly "Run Saber" of the Super NES and "Strider" of the Arcade (later, adapted to Mega Drive and several other systems) are so frequently compared to each other: "Run Saber" and "Osman" are by Atlus. "Osman" was created by the same minds behind "Strider": Kouichi Yotsui among others, ex-employees from Capcom. I wonder if they're the same ones who developed "Run Saber" as well... Wait... NYankies/Rockin' Kats had an arcade version...? And based upon NES' hardware?
@TheLairdsLair6 ай бұрын
Yes, apparently some of the Strider team also worked on Run Saber. Rockin' Kats was released as a Play Choice game, so I included it :-)

What is being said at the beginning of the video? "Welcome, Don Lovers"? Where is this from?
@TheLairdsLair6 ай бұрын
Welcome STUN Runner, taken from the Atari Lynx port of the superb arcade game.

A shame UoPoko didn't get included. It plays almost like Mushi-hime-tama but has a nice theme. Tama also means ball so hence it's a ball oriented puzzle game. Mushi hime means "bug princess."

Is that not the game at 13:20?

Was the NES version of Rockin' Kats actually released as an arcade machine, or was that a screw-up?
@TheLairdsLair5 ай бұрын
Yes, as a Playchoice game. Not sure why, but it happened!
