I played a show a few years back, drumming for Fred Willard at a fundraiser for the Peter Boyle Multiple Myeloma Foundation. There were a TON of celebrity performers, and Jason Alexander was one of them. He did a very theatrical presentation that was on-par with that commercial. Even when he walked into the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, he points finger guns and says, "Hey, kids, how's it goin?"

It was an honest burger and tasted better than the soggy wrapped stuff we get now. I would get them when I was in the military as a grab a go option that would still be edible after several hours on lunch break etc. paper wrap buggers just do not hold heat etc. but true to marketing the hot side was hot and the cold side was cold for several hours.

I got my first McDLT in 1992 as a brand new Marine in the Mojave desert (Barstow). 70's and 80's were a GREAT time to be alive in my opinion!!.....Life was so much easier and simpler. People used to love to just talk and hang out. Listen to music, go for a walk, drive to the lake, etc.......Now we do very little of that.......I chalk it up to the advent of prolific video gaming and the internet. All my friends and I never had any problems until those two things crept in........People stopped coming over just to visit. They stopped saying hi as you walked by them on the sidewalk. They started rolling up the windows and locking the doors on their cars, when they went into a neighborhood store. Kids stopped going outside to play tag, green light-red light, kick the can, etc....More electronics, unfortunately meant less human contact. I think that ruined what social skills we had left.......Sadly.

@@itsyeeoledskoolfurry3208 I was born in 95, so I remember a bit of the sitcom. Couldn't really get into it, to be honest. No disrespect. To be honest, I envy my parents for having grown up in the 70s to the 90s, particularly the music, as well as the style, clothing, etc. I'm blessed though that they let me be exposed to the music they grew up with and I have seen some of them in concerts. But then again, it would have been more remarkable to see them in their prime. For example, I would have loved to see KISS, Black Sabbath, Boston, Alice Cooper, Rush, Blue Oyster Cult, and Thin Lizzy in the 70s. See Van Halen in the late 70s and through 1984, see Iron maiden, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, and Motorhead when they first came to the U.S and throughout the 80s. I could have seen Motley Crue at the Us festival in 1983. Dio, when he was in rainbow, sabbath, and solo. Lynyrd Skynyrd before their plane crash. I mean the list goes on really.

Even though it may have seemed more fun and more wholesome, It may not have been for a lot of others. The 80's were incredible. Sadly, it was the beginning of the end. So wish things could be like that again, and stay that way, it was actually the future. We read "People" magazine, hung out in record stores, went to arcades and the movies. We weren't perfect, but there was a concerted effort through our movies, tv and literature, to be better people and to be better to one another. Politicians disagreed, but once someone was elected, they got back to work. Now some people are pushing for a new ret4rded civil war, because they keep voting for people who are ripping them off, and can't understand why they can't have the American Dream. The 80's showed me the promise of the future, but it also warned me about the time I'm living in right now. Hopefully, there's still time to turn this around. Reject hatred, embrace love. Blessings to you all, I want your futures to be like the one I had, for that brief moment in time. Don't give up. Don't let them take your rights away or deny your dreams.

man, that was a fun blast from the past! i was a teen at this time. McDonald's was a powerhouse advertiser. they still are, but i remember McD's being huuuuuuge on TV back in the mid-80s. like its advertising could not do no wrong. but was McD.L.T.'s that big a deal? sure seemed like it for there were so many ads made for that sandwich. & now, i've got a craving for a McD.L.T.!

I was born in 1978, a kid growing up in 80s, I hated commercials then but now in 2023 as adult I'm watching these by choice as I miss these. A simpler time, good jingles, no agendas in them just good commercials. I'd go back if I could.
