Thanks for the video Rafael! I started doing KZbin this year at 43. It's been tough but I'm enjoying it. I second your point on not going out and buying a load of kit. The camera in your Phone is a good place to start, which is what I did and still do. The only part I spent money on was a microphone. I waited for a few of them to go on sal and picked one up for around £100 (~$125 USD). Good audio is a must as that will put people off watching very quickly.

Ab-So-Lutely! Good audio is so much more important than video early on. We all listen to podcast with NO video as long as they sound good. No one will watch a pristine video with no or poor audio. So that was a great decision on your part. Question for you, how are you finding your journey thus far? The first year is definitely tough, it was for me as well. Also, since you are a Dev - check out www.youtube.com/@AivarsMeijers he's an indie dev on KZbin and also a great dude! Thanks for watching and the comment!

@@RafaelLudwig So far, I'd say it's been steady with an element of frustration at times but that's expected when starting something new. Overall, it's been fun and I've learned a lot of new skills along the way that I never thought I would ever do. For example, I started with iMovie and then hit certain limits with that. I then moved to DaVinci Resolve but I am trying out Final Cut Pro as well as I find that to be easier on the eyes (DaVinci's interface is a little too dark in a south facing room). I think the biggest issue I have is determining what niche in programming I want to do for content. I'm experimenting at the moment so I'll see how that goes. I might even try my hand at some tutorials about using macOS for beginners and some of Apple's out of the box apps as well. Also, thanks for the recommendation. I'll check out Aivars channel.

Thanks Ken! There were times I thought of walking way, and a few times it was months at time, but I love that when a new idea pops up and I feel I can add to a bigger conversation I make a new video then a stream of new videos come out quickly and I get reinvigorated with making content again. The first two years were the hardest for sure, keep at it, refine, it is worth it!

Earning every sub! One video at time! It's definitely a slow grind for us. Still worth it all these later. How do you find the journey? What are your thoughts? Thanks for watching and the nice comment Brannon!
