when I saw the blaster shell, and I saw it was from a Longstrike, I felt that little soft spot in my heart just warm up. I really don't care what other people say about this blaster in its stock form, I've always loved it, even though the Longshot got better ranges. My friend had one of these when we were kids, and I always preferred the aesthetics of this to any other Nerf gun, even to this day. Call me crazy if you wish to do so, but I mean I grew up with one of these as a kid (my friend lived like right down the street) so, yeah. For me, it's not about the performance, or the cost, it's about the nostalgia factor, and if I had the money, I'd buy one for myself, but they really are quite expensive.

RivasJazz7b9 stick a full ass nail on there and then you have the assassin's weapon of choice. Quietest lethal rifle, and it doesn't have the supersonic bang that a firearm does, no gunpowder involved.

I love when you post these more advanced NIC mods. They're not necessarily better, but just my preference. NoM does great work with homemades and it's great to see he's getting back into things. And for all the people doubting the fps, I have not seen this in person, but knowing it is a singled 4b with a brass barrel, there is no doubt in my mind that it can shoot that hard. Some people can get springer homemades up to 300fps (rarely).

cool but i debt that you can get a piece of foam that weights next to nothing past or even up to 450fps....i mean a lot of airsoft guns that are high end are in that area shooting condensed aerodynamic balls of plastic..... i want to see a chrono test before i believe that.

We put it through a chrono to get the number, it fires a special homemade kind of nerf dart called slugs which are made with felt pads, foam and metal washers. This is was scarier than anything firing little 6mm plastic pellets and certainly outputs more power.

I was Firing 15 feet up at 415 feet per second with a .38 gram bb and I was overhoped. FPS affects the speed at which it will travel to the desired target. Like I said, that was a one time shot that was lucky as all getout. My average engagement is 300 feet. The polarstar FE is 10x more accurate and consistent than an AEG or GBB. No matter how set up.

Think about it, most you tube videos that claim a high FPS use FPS meters to prove their high FPS claims, but no video has ever come close to boasting 300fps let alone an unbelievable 450fps! I could take my nerf rival apollo and tape a bunch of pieces i got off my toaster and claim it fires 500fps.... lol no ones gonna believe me if i don't use an FPS counter. BTW, nice looking mod.

If you dip the barrel down and swing the rifle upwards quick, you might lose some fps if the dart slides forward in the barrel

If you were to mod the bolt through the back and make it into a bolt action ( but not having to pump it more than once ) how easy do you thing it would be and how reliable it would be ??

The airtank is in between the breech and the pump. You would have to move the tank in order to make a bolt action breech and you would have to find a way to fill the tank with air without pumping... Now that sounds like an interesting project.
