For years I've been thinking about moving to summerlin. I didn't realize how many different communities were in summerlin. I'm going to save this video and refer back to it at some point. Thank you for putting this video in It was very educational and it gave me a good perspective on where to look when it comes time to move in the future. . I got all your info out of the description in the video. This video is going to help a lot of people. 👍

Watch out for Sun City Summerlin. The FAA's new Next Gen program has moved A LOT of air traffic in/out of VGT (North Las Vegas) over Sun City, down to Charleston and up to Lone Mountain. The private jets are coming low and fast over the neighborhoods. Beyond that, two or more of these aerial combat outfits (fighter pilot for a day for pay) are blowing over the area as well making a lot of noise mostly on the weekend and all weekend. They were kicked out of Henderson Executive and have taken up residence at VGT. Clark County, North Las Vegas and the rest of the politicians are not lifting a finger to help.

Interesting. I mostly get tour helicopters and a few small planes where I live between Charleston and Sahara.
@kennixox26210 ай бұрын
The problem is north of Charleston. Tour helicopters over the south part of Summerlin is another major problem. @@ilovelivinginlasvegas

I bet there's no homes under $300,000 there and always ask about the HOA and Sid and lid fees just saying
@ilovelivinginlasvegas10 ай бұрын
Just a few! Mostly condos and townhomes in that range! You're right! Always ask about HOA and Improvement District Fees! Some of the newer homes have them.

Any condos in any of these communities.

Hi Yes and thank you for your question 🙏. There are patio homes that are like townhomes - 2 small condo-sized homes attached by a wall. Is that something you are looking for?
@kchristinecarr63209 ай бұрын
@@ilovelivinginlasvegas Hi! No, not really. I don't like living on the ground floor. I currently live in a condo on the 3rd floor. Anything similar in Summerlin?
@ilovelivinginlasvegas9 ай бұрын
Hi Yes -- The Over 55 Community at Trilogy has some upper-floor/mixed-level options with elevators. Please text me your info at 702-710-6371 and I can send you more info. Also, there are many condos in Summerlin not in 55+ communities that have 2nd and 3rd floor units.

@@ilovelivinginlasvegas Thanks Micah, but not ready to move yet. My daughter recently moved to Vegas, and I was just curious. Will be watching the temps over the summer (don't love the heat). Then we'll see.

What about low income senior housing?
@ilovelivinginlasvegas10 ай бұрын
Good question!! This is probably not sufficient to meet existing needs, but Nevada a trust fund that helps with affordable housing. housing.nv.gov/Programs/Affordable_Housing_Trust_Fund/

That's a good point! Some people prefer that, and some don't! Las Vegas has lots of great homes that are not in age-restricted communities. It's great having options!!

I love your enthusiasm, but there is nowhere in America that you can RETIRE on the average Social Security Retirement Benefit. At 68 years old and disabled, I had to go back to work. I work. I sleep. I take care of my dog. I survive. Where's the "Retirement"? You're talking about People with Social Security AND a Pension or Couples with both.
@ilovelivinginlasvegas5 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching friend -- some days my enthusiasm is the best thing I can offer. The fact you can see it only means you have enthusiasm inside you too. I wish this world wasn't so difficult and having limited means at 68 IS difficult. My 68 y/o wife is partially disabled and can't really work anymore, a little bit part time is all so I understand. I'm 65 and plan on working as long as my ageing body allows and honestly, I love it. Work is a place where I make very meaningful connections. I get to share things I've worked on all my life such as enthusiasm, patience, kindness, determination, generosity etc. Of course there are days I misplace those qualities, but I eventually find them again. They are always the same place I left them, inside. I call it inner wealth and you have it inside you too! We all do. Even if you have only made mistakes for 68 years it will have transformed into a lot of wisdom by now and you have access to that and can offer it to others. If we are quiet, observant, and intuitive we can offer up just the right quality at the right moment, when someone needs it most. It's not always so easy to do but if we can manage to not take life too personally it is possible. Offering inner wealth is a needed job we can do and never have to retire from. They pay is high but not in money of course. Anyway, I really appreciate you watching and make the best of wishes for your situation. 🙏

@ilovelivinginlasvegas Yes. If people are healthy and want to work, or have their own business and enjoy it, by all means work until you drop if you WANT to. But seriously...a lot of people have put in many years putting off life's pleasures working for some Corporation that didn't really give a damn about them and want to RETIRE. OR...they have had unfortunate circumstances that have left them disabled, divorced, bankrupt, and impoverished. Too bad, tough luck, right? The cost of housing is INSANE and is sucking the blood and the joy out of Seniors. Even if you can afford it, It's OUTRAGEOUS!! Blackrock loves it though, right? Anyway...hate to rain on your parade, or stream of income, but that's my two cents. God bless you, and many blessings 🙏👍

Good evening sir my first name is Karen I am from Santa Ana California Orange county California and I just became a new subscriber thank you for this video I have a question for you if you don't mind replying I am 65 just turned that in February and I'm on social security disability for $1,300 a month I have no relatives or children never married do you know of any affordable neighborhoods that possibly are in downtown or just shy of downtown and a senior in my situation can safely move to and maybe rent a studio for under $1,000 I'm just asking I'm not asking you for a professional advice but if you could steer me in the right direction I would really appreciate it and I have no car I rely on Uber so there LOL I hope that you can reply to this in your own good time because I asked the same question on the other Vegas channels j&k stay in Las Vegas and not leaving Las Vegas but they're only attention is given to those who were interested in buying houses I'm not interested in buying a house because it is over my income level anyway I would really appreciate an answer from you God bless you sir and I will stay subscribed

Hi Karen I sure appreciate your question and subscription 🙏❤. Unfortunately, what you are asking for is not in my expertise. I did do a little Google search and found the following for low-income seniors. I can't say if they would be good options for your situation. Even unaffordable housing is a challenge here right now. I WILL be making the best of wishes for you 🙏 www.after55.com/search/nv/las-vegas/extras-income-restricted?bounds=36.23436,36.12046,-115.04116,-115.23239
