Looks like all the older homes are more of the Spanish style with really small yards. Considering moving to Vegas to retire Any good more contemporary 55 and older somewhat bigger homes not huge but like 2,000 sq feet and under with pool ?

Yes Mediterranean / Spanish style - Many of the remodels are contemporary inside. -- and there are many over 2000sqft. There are not many with pools but a few. The HOA's preserve the value of the properties but I have several clients who absolutely do not like HOA's and I have helped them into areas where there are none. No fees no hassles. Feel free to reach out I'm happy to help.

That may be a restrictive feeling for some people, but I for one appreciate the guidelines in place so that my neighbors do not paint their house purple, leave their garbage cans on the street all week, and work on their cars in the driveway. @@kumaboyy.7443 I currently split my time between two residences in order to enjoy perfect weather. Both of HOAs. Both have increased, and I am comfortable with that. Again, to each his own. I enjoy a well manicured environment and security that makes the rounds continuously throughout the night. I enjoy being able to let management know I'm gone for the season and they keep an extra close eye on my home. I hope you have found a place that resonates with you! 😁🌻

They do get a bad rap but in communities like 55 and over they are needed to keep up property values and like the comment above make sure no one paints their house red, or has midnight parties blasting music all night. There are pros and cons depending on what you are looking for.
