Hi guys. Just here to tell some things i must tell or i won't sleep well tonight. After the first video of matt buying warhammer i had a urge to try it too and paint some models, and i started as tyranids too (Not copiing only they look awesome, even if they are old) in final of 8th, after a bit most than a year of wobbying right now. I have almost 3000 points in nids and more than 4000 points on Necrons. I Shared the indomitus box with a friend and i discovered that painting relaxes me a lot, my friends actually call me a literal 'Printer' because i have all those points painted in a year when they still have gray or only primed armies on their first army. Just here to thank Matt for showing me the initial hope that i needed to start on this hobby, right now i'm having a blast with my friends playing in 9th (all rookies from finals of 8th) and as a person who owns 40 genestealers and 40 necron warriors just to tell that i feel you about painting hordes. Thanks por reading if you did, and great work with the channel and keep it up. PD: Suggestion of free content: Maybe do interviews to us in some of these talks in the future via discord calls or something like that, i'd love to see armies and listen to even more stories like those.

nids need a genestealer hybrid hero that survives the cults slaughter and travels the galaxy learning to tap into the hive mind synapse getting glimpses of its plan and knowledge of how vast nids actually are and use its knowledge of synapse to free other genestealers. less second hand account, more direct without revealing too much and still an outside perspective into the godly hivemind.

Excellent work painting that army up, Matt. My Tyranids story is about how my custom Ultima Founding chapter received their first Chapter Master. Blood of Baal had just come out, so I was playing Primaris and my opponent was playing Tyranids as part of that battle. My marines (mostly Phobos at the time) had infiltrated deep into Tyranid territory to disrupt biomatter collection/processing to slow the swarm and give the Blood Angels some breathing room. The nids had their biggest (mostly Forge World), meanest creations guarding these valuable resources to ensure they could maintain combat pressure of the citizen of Baal. During the conflict, the Primaris had met the xenos head to head, but they were losing ground to these building sized bugs. However, while losing ground, the marines had also been chipping away at these six-legged titans. The Primaris command firebase had repelled the smaller swarms, but it soon found itself the target of a Dimachaeron. That's when the Captain and strike team's warlord leveled his bolt carbine and the colossal beast. With a single well-placed shot hitting the thing in the eye all the way to the brain killing it. When the marines did all the damage they could, they slunk back into the shadows and returned Imperium controlled land. After the conflict, the captain and other officers petitioned Guilliman to form their own chapter and seek out the xeno threat with that captain as Chapter Master. The Blood Angels gifted this new chapter chainswords in honor of all the Reivers (about a dozen mostly attempting tarpit the Swarm Lord) lost during this daring raid as well as named the chapter the Avenging Eagles. Even today, close combat Reivers of the Avenging Eagles use chainswords instead of combat knives. And yes, that Phobos Captain that brough down a Dimachaeron (which obvs was wounded) actually happened in game. Sorry, its more of a space marine story but those nids did rip up a bunch of my marines.

A couple of Fun facts: 1 - There's a hive fleet who doesn't leave its specific system and had pylons on their inhabited planets (Tiamet) 2 - Tyranids are from completely different galaxy and either coming into the solar system because Guilliman messed up and switched on a big fat dinner bell (it was in a book i can't remember which) or because they are running away from something far worse (even worse than chaos since they are willing to invade a galaxy where chaos exists) 3 - Tyranids may have come to the solar system a previous time many millenia ago as there are loads of abandoned creatures that fit the description of tyranids (Krakens of Fenris, Catachan Devils) 4 - Your pile of grey bugs doesn't compare to mine
