She screwed up, true. She felt the only way that she could live with herself was to confess to the person whom she trusted the most to try and understand. Even the comment about about maybe doing it again. She could have made that confession to a clergyman & been safe but she chose her husband. She relied on his love for her to, at least, make an attempt at diagnosing the whys before he took divorce action. Instead he only asked that question after he declared that he would divorce her. Makes me think that he was more dedicated to the institution of marriage than he was to the WOMAN to whom he married. I'm glad that they reconciled but I wonder if he he thinks of her more like property than a partner. Well, so long as she's agreeable, it's thier life.

@@ThomasSottler I look at it like this if someone in a relationship whether it be gf/bf or husband/wife is going to cheat then that person should have the damn decency to just end the relationship first that way they don't have to sneak around, and risk being caught by their significant other but no they'd rather do it that way because they enjoy the thrill of the deception and sneaking around and or the humiliation it brings to their other partner disgusting people all of them.

No continuity in the story line. Characters and scenes switched between his old home town and his new location in Califirnia with no explanation. He breaks it off with a girlfriend because she's married and then she reappears with him...again, no explanation. Really bad writing, even for these "cheating" stories, and that's saying a lot.

OMG! You folks should listen or read this story before you put it on the internet. The story is a good idea but it is completely upside down and backwards and inside out. Mel is there then she's not then she's back then she's not then she's gone. So far there's two new apartments.

Yep. Mel (Melissa) was the one he broke it off with because she found out she was married to Roy. It is so disappointing that these dummies can't keep the storyline straight. many of these that change the name of the main character two or three times. From now on I am going to give every one of these stories that do this a thumbs down. Yes I know, that is likely 99% of them...

Maybe original story was longer and included a chapter where LongHaulTrucker kicked Mel out. After all, there must have been a reason for including the phrase "If you kick her out I will take her in". We were left to presume Mel was separated and hanging around the OP all the time towards the end of the story. After all, Mel was there at TheGrotto when OP's daughter dragged her mother (ExWife) into that dance hall. Retired in Sacto.

So he broke up with Mel twice. I get the point of the divorce her saying I wanna do it again. Is a deal breaker but iris did over and over show the regret of her mistakes.

He mixed up the restaurants where he was and also people. He's reading from a script but he's doing a crappy job. Good writers right and good readers edit on the fly neither of these qualify.

How did Melanie and Ted end up in the same town? Were there two different Grottos? All very confusing. I really ought to stop reading right now. Addendum I kept reading. It got worse. Mel reappeared as though Frank had not already ended it with her.

👎🏼Writer needs to proof read and edit story. The plot was good, but it was annoying to listen to 👎🏼
