That Anex ratchet and their matching stubby ratchet are the best on the market, hands down. One hand operation to switch between sides, hard to accidently change the ratchet direction, inexpensive and there's no slop. All for what, £7/$9? An absolute steal for the money!

@@Milkym0o yes the Anex is one of my all time favorites. I did a video on it not too long ago. You should check it out. 👍🏻

You know the vessel can detach into a stubby too right?

Correct. I’ve reviewed both versions in past videos.

I have the non-ratcheting stubby insider for $30 and couldn't wrap my head around spending an additional $50 to make it ratcheting as well as significantly less stubby. The bits are legit tho.....

I have the Vessel's and Anex as yourself and the PB Swiss fixed stubby and longer handle ratchet but I always grab the Anex first 👍

I bought it exactly a week ago because of my curiosity and interest in pb swiss tools. But I realized that the ratchet function or the method of replacing bits was not suitable for me. It is more convenient to use separate tools individually rather than multi-bit. Anyway, the product is good.

I can understand that. Not every tool is perfect for every application. This is more of a Swiss Army knife of screwdrivers. 🪛

My heart sank when I saw the thumbnail. I’ve always been a Japanese screwdriver guy (Vessel, Eight, Tone, Anex and Sunflag) but I just ordered $200 worth of PB Swiss drivers (3 of them), including the stubby in the review. Im happy to hear you were impressed, especially compared to the my gold standard Anex. Do you plan on getting the longer PBS ratcheting screwdrivers? Great channel, subbed. PS, my young son thinks your voice sounds like Chris Pratt. 😂

I appreciate you taking a moment to comment. Anex makes a very good screwdriver with Vessel right beside them. However the Swiss make a very solid contender. I just wish they could bring their price down. The Japanese drivers are a bargain in comparison. However the feel and overall quality is there with the PB Swiss. It’s almost too expensive and nice to use. You will like your purchase. I might get the full size handle down the line but the stubby hits my needs pretty well. First I’ve heard that I sound like Chris Pratt. I could kind of see that though. 😇 Thanks again for taking the time to comment and subscribing. 😄👍🏻

Does it work well for tiny screws (precision work) like T6 / T8 for pocket knife maintenance? I’ve thought about getting one but I feel for knife maintenance the ratcheting system might not work so well for tint torx screws.

@@Balizilla it’s a good small size for tasks like that. It doesn’t have the best backdrag but it’s close. I think you’ll like it. Otherwise you still have 30 days to return. 👍🏻

And i thought snap-on was overpriced.... PB Swiss is wayyy overpriced for what it is.

It’s a high quality ratcheting driver. Is it for everyone…nope. Best bang for your buck would be the Megapro but in a compact this one is at the top.

Fair point. Although it can still use some refinement. 👍🏻

If you want precision an quality, pb swiss ratcheting screwdrivers are the best. They've been reviewed against everything an came out on top. However, the stubby imo is too big. When i need a stubby, i really need a stubby.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. It’s a great driver in its own right. However it’s not perfect at everything. And there are other manufacturers that do things just as well or better. Please consider sticking around and subscribing. 👍🏻
