Over the Hedge is a 2006 American animated heist comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation. Features the voices of Bruce Willis, Garry Shandling, Steve Carell, William Shatner, Wanda Sykes and Nick Nolte. Set in Indiana, the film centers on a raccoon named RJ, who is forced to deliver food to a bear named Vincent after accidentally destroying his stockpile of food, whereupon he manipulates a family of woodland animals who have recently awakened from hibernation into helping him steal food in order to speed up the process.

This movie has so many comedy legends, and unfortunately the movie is not really that popular. My favorite part personally were the songs, even though “Heist” and “Rocking the Suburbs” did sound like theme songs for family sitcoms.

When I was younger(3&4) I would ONLY watch over the hedge. Everyday, all day, forever. Constantly. I re-discovered the movie, and I liked the silly raccoon man I saw on the cover. So, I asked my mom if I could watch it. And I swear on all my damn Pringle’s and cookies, my mom actually, literally, teared up while telling me no. She said she “couldn’t go through that again” So anyway that’s my history with over the hedge. I fucking love this movie to this day. I love the skunk lady. That all I have to say.

What the hell are they on? This movie is a masterpiece. IMO Dreamworks movies just feel like a lot more care goes into them. I can't explain it, but that's always the vibe I get when comparing the two.
