I bought a 2020 CX21Pro last June with 250SHO, single Helix 12 Mega SI on console, Helix 12 Mega DI on bow, Mega 360. The Pro model came with keel guard, Ultrex 112, interstate trolling batteries, AGM cranking battery, Minnkota Charger, Atlas Jack plate, stereo, twin blinkers and twin PowerPole Blades. I did not get the livewell camera system setup, just standard gauges and steering wheel. The steps on my trailer are not lit but I have brakes on both axles. I checked out Phoenix and Skeeter but liked ride of Caymas best. Before tax, I got the boat for $68.5. The difference at the time for a 20’ was roughly $3500 less. I felt like I got a good deal but I have owned Stratos, Ranger, Bumble Bee and Triton and fished out of many other brands. I love this boat. The ride is the best I’ve experienced and the livewell high speed pick up is great. I liked the small things like finished fiberglass storage without carpet, fully padded top deck, stainless latch slam protectors. The overall fit and finish are real nice as on some other brands. I’m sure if I had chosen Skeeter or Phoenix, I would’ve been just as happy with purchase. I guess I got a decent price compared to other brands because the newer models were coming and I took one the dealer had in stock. Many of things mentioned in the video come as standard on the Pro series as opposed to the regular CX20 and CX21. I was told that the Pro models came standard the power poles, keel guard, larger electronics, Ultrex, stereo and I am probably forgetting something. Overall I like the boat and would buy another as long as comparable pricing with other brands.

Blazer, falcon basic look and switches ($68-72k) vs vexus, ranger and other (90-100k). For extra 20-30k they better have better seats, consoles, accessories. Is vexus vx20/vx21 better boat than blazer 625/650 over all?

Caymas just had a price increase of about 2.5 per cent. ends up being around $2500 more since last few weeks. I had a 2022 cx20 pro priced for $71.888 before taxes, loaded except power poles. The pro package comes standard with keel protection, ghost, 2 9s, Nema, Ethernet, point one, 2 axles brakes, cover. Mercury, atlas plate/gauge, air circulation system, pro max air, ghost 36v 47,lowrance 9s,battery parallel switch, dual console,18" wheels, color choice. Drove 12 hours to order boat, sign deal, salesmen didn't show up. Said he was sick and dealership would take care of me. They didn't. Week and a half went by, original salesmen messages me back with build slot and higher pricing than agreed on. He acted as though we had never talked before. I could have made my order that day, being orders are out to 16 to 18 weeks maybe or longer. I've had dealers price me from $74.500 to $82,000 for same boats with same options, maybe poles added on some. I already have cx 20 pro now loaded with more options. I paid $65000. Shop around folks for pricing and dealers.

I had the same experience. Spoke to 3 different dealers and 3 different people from the first one that was closest to my house. They all told me something different and the closest dealer never called me back when they said they would. I was freaking BEGGING them to sell me a boat and couldn't get the attention I thought I'd get. I finally had to drive 2 hours away to buy mine and when my local dealer heard about the other offer, THEN they finally started calling and offering to lower their price to compete. I'm like bro.... I wanted to buy from you! I tried and tried but now I feel like I can't🤷‍♂️ The worst part is, I don't have anyone close to go to for warranty problems or service because I feel like the local guys don't want to help me now since I went with a different dealer two hours away.

I mean, for me, these are all over priced. These vids are entertaining as hell to watch for sure and great information is provided. Window shopping at best. What about some over unders for the 18 footers for the more avg Joe's that want a boat that isn't a 200 HP or more tournament ready rig. Something with a 150. I was in the market for a Phoenix and had looked at many. They had a Caymas on the lot and I was like what the hell I’ll check it out, all I can say is the boat is very very well laid out and put together. You get a lot of options on the Caymas that Phoenix makes you pay for. I honestly will more than likely be buying a Caymas

I don’t own a Caymas, but do own a hydra sport that I love; a 270z. For those that are trashing earl bentz calling this his retirement boat; you obviously don’t know the man and his love and passion for boats, fishing and hunting. Just search his name on KZbin. He’s had multiple offerings to completely retire, but his passion is to be involved in the industry. For those that say this is a triton; he didn’t design the hull. Their was a different designer for the hull. Not only that Caymas is not just building bass boats. They are building larger offshore saltwater and center console boats. He also moved back into the hydra sport boat facility to build these bass boats and has hired back all those that made those boats that wanted to return back in middle tn.

OK, we we're well past the 2020 boats now. I'm looking at several used boats, and I must say that the used market on Caymas boats is attractive. With all the features built into the boats, the pricing is competitive with other similar aged boats with much fewer features. The Pro series sells for $55 - $65K, depending on electronics, and other 20/21 foot well equipped boats are asking around the same price with fewer features. These boats take corners at speed like no other boat I've been in, and the acceleration is immediate. All storage bins and rod lockers are well laid-out, the bilge area is plenty big for all batteries, pumps, etc. Great boats.

I think they are a good looking boat and the price is definitely up there but then again what brand new fiberglass boat isn’t expensive. The livewell pick up is awesome, every boat needs that. My only problem with Caymas is what is going to happen when Earl Bentz retires? They say this is his last boat before he retires but if you look at the other boats he has started only one is left in production and Triton isn’t what they were since Mr. BPS took them over. When he retires will Caymas go bye bye or will they be bought out and shut down just like Legend? There are unknowns there and that’s just my opinion. As far as being overpriced or undervalued, I am going to say overpriced because just single units at the bow and console and the fact that they never got back with you. Good looking boat though!!!

Not a Bentz fan. I had a 2005 Triton 21, the hull cracked hitting some rough water during a windy fall tournament and their customer service was a f'n nightmare. Sent it to Tennessee and they kept it for almost a year. The Caymus looks great but I'm not putting any money in Earl's pocket.

Just purchased A new Caymass I have some of the option you had on yours but not all . I believe the boat is under priced. Love the way my boat fish's . Boat is fast runs 74 with a mercury pro xs 250 . It does have a chin walk but it is manageable.

Add Mega 360 and Mega Live along with 2 more 12’s and you’re pushing into the high 90’s after tax, dealer prep and doc fees. Wait until the housing bubble bursts and the economy is in shambles. (Which will happen eventually) Guys will be begging buyers to get them out from underneath the payment on these things so that they can afford to stay in the house they’re upside down on. I have a feeling it’s going to be a STRONG buyer’s market for regular folks that aren’t over extending themselves in relatively short order.

Picking up a CX21 next week. Test drove a CX20 as well, it is a little squirrelly at top speed. The cx21 is little easier to drive. Love the look and finishes of these boats, it’s what sold me over a Phoenix. Ability to flush mount a 16” graph at bow is great, only need one unit up there. Of course they are, like every decent new bass boat these days, overpriced. But don’t compare prices to the old days. Touch screen Electronics, 4 stroke outboards, spot lock trolling motors have all raised cost. The prices are only gonna go up from here...

The live well pickups are angled straight down on the seatback ingenious idea I see the live wells are picking up the updraft water that comes off the pad that is a funnel hitting the setback and it works!!! Hats off to Caumus!!! Why didnt Ranger do this in the mid 90s when they introduced the skinny setback transoms

I say it could flip flop being over or under. If you looking deal with the manufacture its over priced. if you have good dealer to go through that take care of you on a dime, its under. If you are tournament person caymas does have a great Yamaha platinum payout. Ill take that caymas over a ranger, triton, nitro, vexus. Its priced little under 3 out of 4 of them 4 boats. Its not the fast boat out there but it out run the ones i named. It hands and roads good and does handle rough water. It does have good fit and finish layout compared to Johnny Morris boats.

I have heard they are the best luxurious bass boat on the market with the speed and ride to combat with it. I will admit I'm a Triton fan for thier speed and lifetime hull warranty and no wood there was not a Triton boat made with a piece of wood in it. I think Caymus is undervalued because of the new live well system it has a water pressure seal on the live well so no what your fish cant be sloshed around causing stress or death to the fish cause thier is no air in the live well.

They're gorgeous boats. For me though it's not whether or not I can afford it....I just can't stomach having $200k between boat and truck in the driveway just to go fishing. My 99 champ 202 will run with any of these boats in any water and even 2 motors in I'm only 25k invested in her and can catch just as many fish. Awesome boats though, great vid!

I have yet to see major innovation in any of the new boats in the market. Just technology witch is not from the manufacturer but from electronics. I guess u can't re invent the wheel. And for all that 85k is never undervalued in my humble opinion. Since usually innovation should make things cheaper and more useful .... not the other way around.. thats my 2 cents . All boats are overpriced now but in comparison to others I'd say undervalued. I have seen em up close and know a couple guys running them. Guys love em. I have a 2019 Ranger z521c that is very well equipped and I really like it for ride and size (HUGE). The caymas is the only boat I've seen that compares as far as storage, deck size and features. I'd buy one.

I own a caymas cx20 definitely a well built boat and fast however u have to drive it. Also all the features they have are amazing! Funny thing I like how he brings up nitro 🤣 🤣 I use to be a nitro guy but never again wouldn't even take 1 if nitro gave me 1 for free there crack city! If u know u know. Prive point on the caymas I say ur $10,000 over i paid $74,000. Still expensive for a boat but all boats are expensive now adays unfortunately.

I ordered and 9:58 built my 2019 Z21. The build quality just isn’t fair. I should’ve saved and bought a better boat. Especially the trailer. I’ve had so many problems with it. A one-year warranty just doesn’t cut it. The 250 Merc is awesome though!

I am a firm believer all bass boats...new and used....are priced double what they should be. I have an old Triton TR19 ( I have a like/hate relationship with this boat) that I guess I will have to keep till it blows up. 80k boat better house me, feed me and pay my bills. Since I am a weekend fisherman and not a pro....I reckon a boat will do none of that. LOL.

Phoenix is solid hull, great in rough water, but Caymas has way better finishes IMO and ride is still really good ride. Can’t go wrong with a Cat either. They are supposed to have the best construction out there. For me, the Cats have a real retro 70s/80s look to them, not a fan of that look.

@@stevecox6104 Best construction is Ballistic. You should do some lurking around in the owner's pages on Facebook of Phoenix. They got some fiberglass issues. Also, I'm not completely disagreeing or sounding snarky, just offering a take.

High speed water pickups are nothing new, they put them on big offshore and bay boat center consoles. Finally on a bass boat though. Now they just need pressurized livewell.

Andy, I have read all the reviews and want to say this. The boat is properly priced given the time we are in. All of the boats out there have to be good or they wouldn't be in business. Same way with the engines. There is no perfect bass boat. It is up to the customer and what he or she likes in a boat. It is easy to quarterback these boats and not own one. I have a Ranger tin boat. Sure it has a few flaws but overall it fishes well. I don't like White River Marine Group.Poor customer service.

Watching for the second time. All boats are overpriced but with that being said, I've owned a Caymas for 2 years now and I would say they're not under valued or overpriced. They're fairly priced all things being considered. Although, you could get the boat you priced for a little less if you actually bargained and shopped around between a few dealers. Also, I had some fit and finish issues with my new boat but they were really good about working with me and making it right. However, I really think that ALL companies should spend more time and effort inspecting their boats before giving them to the dealer or the customer so they don't have any problems with their brand new boat! It's really disappointing and a pain in the ass to buy a brand new boat and then have to immediately take it back to the shop just to have them correct or finish their work! And that leaves a bad taste in the customers mouth.

There’s no need to fork over this kinda of cabbage. When you already have a Champion 210 Elite. That ladder is gruesome looking. Not feeling that Dracula 🧛‍♂️ looking bow action either. Do like the gas tank placement though. At least they didn’t go bezerk on the lid compartment shapes . If one had the coin I’d of course get the Charger 210.
