I own one!! Love it!! The boat would handle a 200 easily with Responsible driver!! I sure wouldnt want it with a 150 on it like the Ranger!! Get good lift with the 175 and rides very good!! I am near Guntersville and and take break from Coosa chain to fish there often!! It handles G very well!! I added 82lb 24v MG Tour Pro, 2 Helix 10s stacked up front with mega 360!! Lowrance 9" above steering wheel and Helix 10 to the right side!! Tandem axle trailer is sweet!! The boat has some weight to it!! Tows Great on the interstate for long trips!! Thought I would comment in hopes they would bring it back!!

I have a smaller Triton and fishing Kentucky Lake with it. My 2017 was built in the same place as the Ranger. They were same boat, at the time, except for the finish ( console and seats.) not sure about now though. The only problem I have had is the #70 Minnkota Edge. Had to replace the motor due to a seal leak. It had taken a beat on KY Lake with no issues.

Love these videos but y’all gotta star changing your “add ons” to fit the boats, lol. A 19 foot Tin Boat doesn’t need a 36V 112 trolling motor unless you want to plane out 😂 24V 80 would be more than enough👍🏻. Save battery weight too

@@Kdavis8377 I’ve fished the Tennessee, it’s not the Delaware. I carried 4 TM batteries in a Ranger 361V until the 36v motors came out and the day they make a 48v I’m getting one

Kevin sorry I didn’t mean to start an disagreement. Just think Team Marine is on target as far as overbuilding a Tournament boat. Just the prospect of an inadequate power at some hotel when you’re on the road Tournament Fishing is plenty reason for extra battery run time. I fished tournament for 40 years and have seen it all.

I went Ranger Z185 for cost but with the fishability of larger bass boats. Been nice to have a little more power, 150 Mercury is largest option but boat is nice. I compared several before going with Ranger. Price was good off shelf. I’ve added better Lowrance and a Ghost since. Jack plate and power poles are next. Wonder what a comparison of 18 foot glass would look like.

I'M here in PA and I know your out in Wisconsin but talking to our dealers here in PA said after all this pandemic is over and things go back to being more normal the Tin boat will come down in price. In the last 2 years it jumped $4k here. I like your videos I have the RT Ranger 188 and I am waiting on the Avid boat review when they get back to you. The Ranger I want to get rid of but just waiting for the right time to do it.

Interesting price for this tin rig. Too bad in my neck of the woods running a prop wont even let you put the boat in the water in some areas. I think it would be funny to see Andy's reaction on an over/under for a jet powered boat. We put merc 300rs on the back of 1860 modv/flat bottoms with a jet intake on them for the outboards. Inboards run a Chevy 350 block all the way up past the 6.2 corvette engine.

What manufacturer allows 300hp on a 1860? My 1754 Lowe is only rated for 50hp so the 60/40 jet only runs mid 20’s and it drives me nuts going so slow.

@@johnwolff1043 we take those as recommendations not literally........LOL Its pretty typical to see 250s on the 1860s and 1960s. They go by the rated power at the jet so a 250 is more like a 175 at the jet which works for the 1960s, and the 225s is like a 150 at the jet so those are more so on the 1860s. Around here boats dont arrive at the dealer with an engine hanging off the back. The dealer has to put one on. We run Alweld, and Weldcraft/Legend SS. They are the bigger more known. However lowe, Xpress, and excel can be seen.

@@johnwolff1043 if you have facebook look up Troutt and Sons out of St. James MO they run Mercs from 40 all the way up to the 300rs. They have several on there page they've done. The only thing you get with going past HP limits is warranty can be voided but when you only get a 1 year on the hull for Alweld what difference does it make. For Legend SS its lifetime but you do pay for it compared to Alweld but it is also a nicely built boat IMO not so much so over Alweld due to the price gap but hey thats my opinion.

Yes. I owned an xb21. It is typically used as the trash can but if some taco bell hits you hard you can use it as the toilet. Lid is shaped like a toilet so it functions as such.

That was dead on for your everyday fisherman that would like to be competitive in a tournament. In comparison, it's the craftsman tool and the others are snap-on. They all will get the job done and they're not bad either.

I had a Triton 176 sport and was an Earl Bentz boat with a outboard jet on it since Johnny Morris bought them out I feel they have lost there quality and a comparable new Triton to what I have owned horsepower has been downgraded. Love the videos keep them coming.

I have an 04 tr21x and the only issue is the push pad went out so I got an aftermarket knob switch and damn timer won’t work now lol.. and my 225 rude just died on me last Friday so now I’m trying to figure what the problem is .. other than that I’ve own it since 2011 and it’s been great fast boat.
