OEE/How to improve OEE/16 Losses of TPM
Each and every management across the world is concerned about the OEE of their machines. Higher OEE means better utilization of the equipment and thus no unnecessary investment in the new equipment.
Sounds simple ! Definitely no. We need to be aware of 7 losses of OEE, 5 losses of manpower and 4 other losses. Put together, these are known as 16 losses of TPM.
Once we are aware, we need to monitor the data and need to record our observations. After this, corrective actions are to be applied.
Once, we are well aware of the 16 losses of TPM, we can make our workplace truly world class.

In grinding process and gear cutting the yield loss will be considered or not. As it is almost uniform output

Certainly no. In all metal removal processes, machining allowance is intentionally kept to ensure that the piece does not become Unclean. So, there is no yield loss.
