This place was a drug and alcohol rehab it was called Turning Point and it saved my life . I was a patient there back in 2005.

there had been designs on changing that property into something else for decades, apparently, plus there were tons of reasons that it closed. So no one really wanted it anymore, including the remaining patients that were moved out of it in 2007. I agree, it was a cool place, and it would have been cool to see it repurposed (at least a few of the buildings if not all) but that was not in the cards.

This asylum was featured in the TV show Ghost Adventures and was built back during the turn of the century to accommodate mentally handicapped patients which saw use until the 60's.

Sad that it is no more. Some would say good riddance but there’s still some of us that are not glad it’s gone.

the piano music sounds like the music of that tea time short creepy film. but anyway i just felt like a comnection to this place after watching the ghost adventures episode when they explored the underground tunnels. its sad to see it go

I am very upset about all the trees being cut down, I worked on a bike trail for years and it's getting ripped down. Very interesting to see from above

But be careful cas they got security and have cameras in some spots. They'll arrest you even if you're a minor.

Hey, Im doing a documentary on this hospital. Would you be willing to let me use footage from this video for my film? I would certainly give you credit if you allowed me to use it. I am trying to finish the film this week and I think have aerial footage of the place could just add lot to the film. Thank you and let me know if you would be interested.

as of now (2020) everything except the firehouse has been entirely removed and condos have been built in its place, with the other side of the street the long-promised park.

of course they would start with the boiler house first (so it appeared)
