I really enjoy the Statue of Liberty placement. One thing that could elevate it would be a ferry stop, pulling up to the island or being on a ferry nearby is really impressive in real life. Looking forward to the expansion over the hills!

I doubt those children will study anything near the park XD but really nice work on the last island I like it a lot. In my opinion Orchid Bay is your finest masterpiece till now and I hope we will see more. I suggest to build industrial cities in the other bay so it will bring money and jobs and it will be far from the center. and I guess the rest should be farms and tourist's cities. enjoy your holiday and can't wait for your next video
@thargoff Жыл бұрын
Like the Status of Liberty on this island! I was thinking it should maybe be turned around, facing the water, as in NYC it is also facing away from the city, greeting incoming visitors. But then again, it has a totally different placing here, and it fits more for her to face the city. Also, perhaps a ferry stop at the island? :) Great to see this part of the map filled and still much more to come!

@@toomanythings Thing is I was talking about from a creator perspective as the original comment suggested; which is probably quite important to Overchargedegg. They aren't going to make CS1 content if CS2 is performing 3x better. As for people that still play CS1, there is a wealth of content already on youtube for that. It'll stay that way too as the game will be frozen in place minus additional mods.

I'd love to see one final vanilla CS1 build from you simply to see how you approach things with having access to all the "complete" game materials right from the very start. A lot of Orchid Bay was already built when that final deluge of content was unleashed. Anyhow, fun little build today!

Like the idea but if you move the high school into the Brooklyn area, put your flume ride in that area and eliminate one of the side gates, you could get another ride in it place. That way the theme park not interfering with the school. Also a block close to the Train Station could be cool for the high school and possibly a elementary school as the parents use the train to get there kids to school from the other Island

I think you should make the lore that it's a traveling pop-up type thing that comes to a city for about a week or 2 then moves elsewhere. An amusement park in the middle of the city doesn't make a lot of sense to me. They are usually out in the middle of nowhere, which is why they're spread out Boh-dag-a - and yes pretty much "everything" if you get what I mean lol

I feel like there should be a separate Brickland and Quays district on the other side of the river, so you've got two Bricklands to justify calling it "Brooklyns and Queens".

Egg would it be possible to make the road and elevated rail running in front of the Statue of Liberty go into tunnels instead? The elevated rail and station take away from the Statue of Liberty. If they went from bridge directly into tunnels you could build a nice city park area behind those houses with a great view of the statue. This would drastically improve the sight line from/to an important asset.

personally I dont like the amusement park in this particular spot near downtown orchid, and the statue of liberty seems.... rushed... I feel like it needs more flash, more structure to it, maybe raised up, the ferry line attaching to it would be awesome, aswell I think more commercial around it would be a welcome sight, as it is quite a large landmark really like the brickland and quays area though, and the actual quays around the city are really pulling it all together! 10/10

Hope you enjoy your holiday mate, sometimes you just got to get away! I don't mean to sound like I am criticizing all your builds, I really do enjoy watching your videos, and really have learned a lot about building more realistic cities. Sometimes it is easy to come off as demanding in written comments like this, but I am just trying to give some constructive criticism. I really look forward to seeing you build in Cities Skylines II! That being said however, I really do not like the placement of that amusement park. As it sits right now, it is right in the middle of a residential area, business park and now a high school. Everything in that area just feels cramped to me, and that certainly would not be a very pleasant neighborhood to live in my opinion. There is no room for sports facilities for the school, and the tiny park areas just feel cramped as well. I think a better placement for that amusement park would have been across the river backed up against those mountains. I don't know if you had anything planned for that area, but if you run the road next to the shore, that would give you plenty of open space to expand the amusement park, with plenty of room for everything including the log ride. It would also get all that noise away from the residential area and the school. You might also be able to work a build or two up into those mountains, like an observatory or a climate research station, which might also give you a chance to add cable cars to the city, if you would like.
