Abigail is a registered nurse, and whilst she has tried to get over her fear many times, she has suffered with a fear of bridges for 33 years. Abigail cannot walk over a bridge and can no longer drive over them, meaning her journeys can often take hours longer than necessary. Abigail remembers an incident when she was 5 that could have caused this, and says if she can conquer her phobia it would quite literally change her life.

Holly crap I have it I hate bridges something about them just scare me. 😧😧😧I first learned it when we went for a walk and I had to walk UNDER THE BRIDGE and then we walked over it and it was so so scary. Like if you have it too👍🏻

No one is born with a phobia so there’s always an origin, and the walk you talk about was likely your first phobic response whereas the start is likely to have been before then and can be from something you personally experience, hear about, copy from someone else or see (even on TV). It is something you can work on and improve and overcome entirely
