Do you eat eggs ? Also I'm scared that they will restrict us from eating meat. I want to try this! I struggle with anxiety and I think I'm gonna give this a shot.

Hey @LadyCarnivorey how long did it take to start to see benefits for your OCD on carnivore, as I'm dealing with SEVERE OCD/INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS and about 1 1/4 months into carnivore and haven't seen much change unfortunately.... 😔😭

It’s good the diet helped her so much. Exposure therapy does help many. It’s a willingness to accept the feelings and thoughts that come through.

When I started a protein priority keto diet (mainly carnivore), my goal was weight loss. The resulting reduction in severe inflammation was amazing but the best benefit was the almost complete overcoming of anxiety and depression. I feel so much more able to: keep things in perspective, reason rationally, not overreact, be calm and most importantly to laugh and smile. I feel like I have lived in a cloud since I was a teen. I am so grateful to have found this community and finally be able to have good memories - that I can remember. But, oh I do not wish the same fate on my kids. Or other's kids.

After what timeframe did you see improvement, for example with the inflamation?

About two weeks from stopping all plant fats

It’s amazing that you’re thinking like this at such a young age, most people go through an entire lifetime without making the connections which you’re making. For me it was 20 years too late but as they say it’s better late than never. Good luck.

Yes, it is important to tell people to transition slowly - eg I realise now that I was highly Oxalate toxic - luckily I learnt about oxalates from Sally K Norton and she suggested that I keep one oxalate in and wean myself off slowly - I used dark chocolate and raspberries - I went from lots of veggies and high carbs - to Keto - and then transitioned to Carnivore. andupping my fats. Lots of salts also. Healing brain, anxiety, memory, mental confusion, brain fog, negative head, suicidal thoughts, mood swings, voices talking negatively at me all night, feeling on edge all the time, hangry all the time, living in the past all the time, ADD - still working on that. Joint pain, chronic fatigue, hair loss, clumsiness, heart palpitations, bloating, flatulence, acid reflux and so much more has healed. Please keep doing what you are doing Michelle, love the way you talk with people. I am 53 now and wish I had eaten this way my entire life. Angry with doctors and gynaes for keeping me sick.

Thanks for this message! I feel so much better when I eat ketovore. I recently fell back into eating a SAD, with lots of sugar and processed food, and my OCD spiked like crazy. I am going back to ketovore immediately and I expect that my symptoms will improve drastically. Thanks for sharing your stories!

👍👍great information!!! I do have eating disorder too. But my problem because of my GERD problem.... my doctor said that I need to control my portion size and change my diet. It was about 4 years ago.... and now I have an addiction to weigh every bite of my food. I eat 3 times a day and I do not eat a portion more than 250-300 grams no matter how I feel. I weight dropped from 104 to 56. I feel like crap don’t have energy. But I do my morning exercises and workout routine and in addition to that try to intermittent fasting because I like it but the more I do it the more I feel like my life just go to hell. About a half of a year ago I saw video dr. Paul Saladino, Ken Berry and so so many great people in this keto carnivore carnivorish low carb etc community... so many information but I like that way of eating and food... and now I try everything to heal.... I noticed that I tend to eat more when I eat this way but I afraid... my calories about 1500-1700 I wonder my low energy and hormones because of this or carbs..... a lot of information I put in here. Just never mind. Thoughts out loud))))) felling hopeless

Are there any vegetables you can have? How do you keep from getting constipated? My son suffers from OCD with intrusive thoughts so bad he has tried suicide to make them stop. Medicine doesn't help and therapist nowadays go thru the motions.
@bonnieleary1197 Жыл бұрын
From what I’ve learned it’s a myth that you need vegetables for fiber and being able to eliminate. It’s fat that helps. Though it can take time to adjust to this and I’ve done it with magnesium. I hope this helps. I’m no doctor, but I had the same question as you did.

I feel really unhappy when I do carnivore. I have way more motivation, but I don't smile or laugh as much. The first week or so I feel amazing but after that I notice I'm not as happy. I know it has to do with seretonin

Id never try to convince anyone to do carnivore. Maybe keto but unless somebody wants to try it why would i try to push my diet on other people. I think thats repellent... like vegans
@ascendtoaesthetics3 жыл бұрын
I encourage everyone who I know is serious about their health, to try carnivore. not just anybody.
@dietitiansdilemma16593 жыл бұрын
agree, always best to lead by example. When people see the change in you, and when they are ready, they will ask you about it.
@GeraltOfRivia993 жыл бұрын
Why wouldn't you push your diet on someone? If you have had a positive effect on your brain and body than tell people who are struggling. Treatment options of all kinds are how to help someone... I plan to try carnivore and if it helps me I'm going to be pushing it on others that's for sure... Atleast to try it short term or incorporate less processed food and more meat

Restricting health benefits is a restrictive diet ;) lol
