Great info! And WOW - what a quick turnaround! I'll have to keep this protocol in mind if we see any congested udders this year.

The congested udder has happened here more than I have liked. But this protocol has never let me down.

This is perfect!!! Very searchable and great information. We have had congested udder but thankfully no mastitis yet!! I've used dinamint udder spray bit pretty sure it dried up my doe on the side I was treating.

Oh no!!!! Glad that mastitis didn't set in, but that's sad about drying up. Now you have an alternative

Thank you so much for sharing. We just weaned her babies and this morning when milking I noticed one side was harder to milk. I will be trying this today. Is natural treatment done 2x a day?
@maplewoodhomestead20172 ай бұрын
Yes! Whenever you milk. Let me know how it goes!

Is there a withdrawal time for Nuflor? I cant find a credible answer other than on Merks own page to not use it on dairy cows that are or will be lactating. Thank you for the info

You can always check with FARAD. BUT, I would say stay with the standard 28 days to be safe.

I use organic approved mastoblast. I have a 7 yr high producing doe. Her udder felt hot not normal. Started mastoblast and no further problems. I also use Dynamint udder cream. She has a low hanging udder. Must catch it early for mastoblast to work. She gets engorged with kidding and must be monitored closely.

Thanks for sharing your protocol. :) Options are great. I am thankful I keep the ingredients on hand for our protocol for other things as well, so not only effective as a treatment, but also cost effective.

@maplewoodhomestead2017 I agree but purchasing all the items you mentioned can be costly. Everyone looks at things differently. I have antibiotics here but only use when all other avenues have been exhausted. The mastoblast works wonders. I just discovered it last year. The dynamint udder cream reduces swelling and is soothing to the udder.
