What about leaky gut and candida or mold all these contributors ?
@MECFSExplored
@MECFSExplored 7 ай бұрын
@@joanneclark8256 they are important issues that need to be addressed. I think the point Jo was making is that the depleted state of a person's health is the core issue. For example, a healthy person probably will be less affected by mould than someone with health challenges. When I had ME/CFS and fibromyalgia, I had leaky gut and candida and was sensitive to mould.

Brain retraining will NEVER CURE CFS! So tired of the scammers trying to sell their bull CFS treatments. CFS is caused by an INFECTION of some kind. You can't cure an infection by talking your way out of it. It's idiotic!! Please people don't give your hard earned dollars to people who claim they can cure CFS with brain retraining.

@@joanneclark8256 Really important to consider! These could be the reasons you are reacting to certain foods or having digestive symptoms - so the way forward is to address these issues and other root causes rather than just simply removing food groups or fearing foods. Reactions are a sign that we need to investigate further 😊

It sounds like you have an awareness of this, which is the first step! As I mentioned in the video there can be genetic reasons for this - but it doesn't mean it's your destiny for the rest of your life, there is so much you can do with nutrition and lifestyle to reduce anxiety and support your nervous system

Hey, Jo!!!! Hey, Raelan!!!! What a good interview. Certainly Jo got right to the root cause of her illness.... absolutely excellent. 🎉🎉 After I watched the interview, I did look at your website, Jo, and found that you now work as a nutritionist. What school did you work with and is it available here in the United States?? Thank you as always. May God bless the two of you and your families 😊. Miss Monique 🙂🌷🙏

Please do if it's calling you, we need more practitioners who have this lived experience! Happy to answer any questions if you want to reach out via email/website 😊

@@healandbloom Thank you very much Jo!! Yes, I have often thought of getting some type of certification in nutrition. At the moment, I am finishing my Masters in Theological Studies. If and when I have more money I would love to combine my knowledge in theology, the brain and health. There is a relatively new study out from the University of Pennsylvania and Dr. Andrew Newberg it's called Neurotheology. Since I am a Christian, a lot of my healing came from brain retraining using the Bible and much prayer. Another thing that if course helped a lot was changing what I ate. I was eating the SAD...the Standard American Diet... pretty awful 😞. I used Dr. Peter D'Adamo's Eat Right for Your Type.... I'm a Type O and that way of eating helps me a lot. Did you meet Dr. Myhill at the school??? That would be amazing!! 🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🎊🎊🎊🎉

So how did she find out why her body was responding to foods that way and what is it that she does to ensure it doesn’t? Sorry if this is a dumb question im truly intrigued. I thought she said brain retraining didn’t work but it sounds like what she does is that, or no?
@healandbloom

It's about understanding why the food reactions are happening rather than blaming the foods. So for me personally, I had to address digestive dysfunction, overactive nervous system, mold illness, hormone imbalances etc which were all contributing to my body having a reaction to the foods I was eating. By addressing this with nutrition, as I healed I was able to expand the foods I could tolerate and now I'm in a position where I can eat anything!

First Jo talks about falling into the trap of pressure to do all the morning chores and routines, the daily tasks like Meditations, Morning Light, Cold Plunge, taking every Supplement etc so she just lists the Cold Plunge as one of her tasks but did not elaborate if it was beneficial or not At around min 29 she talks about when she had more energy in her recovery process how vagus nerve tools and how cold water became really important to her, it brings so many benefits and is probably the main thing that connects her body and makes her feel regulated and balanced and reduces her anxiety FYI you can activate automated subtitles Hope that helps

For me it was in the later stages - but this is only as it's a drive or long walk away for me so physically getting there would have been challenging. As with anything, it's really personal about when the time is right or if it's beneficial for you. My general rule with clients is that if you feel better for the few hours after cold water/cold showers, keep going with it, if you feel worse or like you are cold to the bones and can't get warm again - let's come back to it down the line.

@@joanneclark8256 Hi. Hair loss can sometimes be connected with an under active thyroid gland. If you have a chance, maybe ask a doctor for a blood test, so you can find out. It may also help explain some of your fatigue. An under active thyroid can be a feature with CFS/FMS/ME.
